A Trip Of A Million Questions....Dreams! May 2016 Updated 11/1

I just realized that I arrived 4 days after you left (June 5 was our arrival date - just in time for Tropical Storm Colin!).

Loving the report so far!

Yay trader sam's!! Also hilarious the other TR i just read just had an update there! Lol!
I love the Zombie head but MAN it is a strong one!! Kara can't really do it, but I like my drinks strong, bahahhaha....
Love Wishes from there! The first time we watched them from the Trader Sam's patio was one of my favorite memories of my program, all of us wimps crying holding hands while we drank, bahhaha!!
Love the statue pictures, as always!!
I guess I like strong drinks because I liked it a lot!
I'm so glad I finally got to watch it on the beach. I normally push it aside because I don't ever want to beat the crowds afterwards.

Or deal with the B.O. from everyone that was in the park all day. That is the part I hate the most. That is still on my bucket list as well.... not the part where I am next to someone with B.O. watching wishes... but watching it at the Polynesian. That sounds like a lot of fun. Plus, I really like their gift shop.
That is definitely true! Muggy nights and smelly people are something that I can cross off my list because I deal with that ever trip.

I just realized that I arrived 4 days after you left (June 5 was our arrival date - just in time for Tropical Storm Colin!).

Too bad we weren't there the same time! Sorry about that tropical storm hope it didn't ruin your trip too much

Keep Shootin Buckaroo!

Only in Disney is it acceptable for me to wake up at 6:30 in the morning in order to make it to morning EMH. This extra one hour in the park was crucial to get to so we could get 3 parks done in the day. This being said we were out of our room and headed to the bus stop a little after 7. And the best feeling is when a bus comes right when you arrive at the bus stop.
With that we hopped aboard and headed on a quick ride to our first destination for the day, Hollywood Studios. Our mission was to go straight to Mania and then RnR and Tower before 10am. But first we had to wait a half hour until the park opened.

15 minutes of waiting and we were welcomed in. However not fully. we were stopped right away.

8am hit and everyone made a mad dash to mania. However I would like to add that this dash has nothing against the crazy dash at Disney Sea to their toy story mania. And if I could live through that I could live through this.

Walking into the queue and mr potato head isn’t their to entertain you…its quite sad. But then I’m glad because he held up the line because so many people just needed that photo in front of him. Here’s to a lovey mural that is now where he used to stand.

29509251995_6e09dafa1c_z.jpg

Thanks to the newly opening of the third track the wait wasn’t a wait at all.

After that “Keep Shootin buckaroo!” became a phrase I used all too much on this trip.
Off down sunset boulevard we saw a 20 minute wait for tower and a 55 minute wait for RnR. We did something I would never condone, since Erin doesn’t like ToT we left her in the RnR line and the 3 of us ran over to Tower.
Here’s to one of the best queue lines in all of Disney

The children who were placed in the row behind us seemed to be hating on their life choices (or the choice their parents made for them) Once the drops started they were screaming and begging the elevator to stop dropping. Poor thing.

29430157981_1cd9bc8edc_z.jpg

We ran back to RnR where Erin decided not to keep her spot in line and waited near the front.

28887014183_9b38ec03a3_z.jpg

Of course right before we enter the building a CM came over the loud speaker and basically said the ride was down. Just our luck. We decided to stick it out and luckily it was only down for a few minutes.
While adding new disney experiences into the mix this trip we got to experience the new magic band interactive posters. How they do this I have no clue but its kind of cool and a kind of weird at the same time.
Erin was the only on chosen for RnR but we had a lot more attractions coming up that did this same thing.

Once our super stretch pulled up, only the back was good enough for us.

We completed all 3 rides we came to do at Studios. So it was goodbye studios, hello Epcot!

A Magical Core Memory

The best way to get from studios to Epcot is the boat of friendship because who doesn’t like friendship?! Friendship however didn’t reciprocate the feelings back since it left without us. So we got to wait around for the next boat to come around.

28899829743_3cafe608be_z.jpg

When the boat arrived Erin and Sara were being very secretive (like they would be this entire trip)

28899832723_42d9f8d622_z.jpg

And then Sara learned that Disney can be tiring when you run around with me. So napping on Disney transportation can help out a lot.

We decided to just get off at the Yacht club and walk to Epcot because the boat was heading to the boardwalk before Epcot.
While walking passed the Yacht and Beach I went on my normal rant about how badly I want to stay there and swim in Stormalong bay.

With the quick walk to Epcot we entered through the International Gateway, a guess an entrance that non of them ever went through. Because it wasn’t 11 the showcase wasn’t open and it was basically dead.

I was very excited to be able to be back at Epcot for the flower and garden, but mostly because I just love the topiaries.

The only thing I needed to do at Epcot was meet Joy and Sadness. So that is where we headed first. Once getting to innoventions we hopped right in the line that didn’t look long but it was about a half hour wait.
I find Sadness hilarious and someone I achieve to be

29329134070_088fa63003_z.jpg

Once getting close to the front of the line we had to deal with some of the most obnoxious children ever. It was a big family reunion group with about 6 children who were running through the line, swinging on and playing with the chains, and yelling and screaming. And the best part was that all the parents didn’t even care.
After the obnoxious family left we soon followed and met 2 of the most populars characters meeting in epcot that day. The room itself was themed perfectly. When walking in both Joy and Sadness were there to welcome us. Since Joy was the first one everyone just flocked to her to give hugs but sadness was just sad. In pictures she looks sad but meeting her in person it was a whole different experience.

Before we left our new friends for the day we first had to take one quick selfie

28993565904_8a107cbf8e_z.jpg

The wait for our emotions took more time than planned so we didn’t have much time left to spend at Epcot. Figment was on our list of things to do because Erin had never been on it. How that is possible I have no clue. Figment has been one of my favorites. Once getting my own figment doll in his yellow sweater as a child I was hooked.
So we were off to journey our imagination

28993565744_0ee389f4dd_z.jpg

Once we got to the stand by line and saw 35 minutes we turned around. I have never seen such a long wait for this ride. Sorry Figment maybe we can visit you another time.
Are only other thing we wanted to do was back in the world showcase and we didn’t feel like walking all the way back there again. Instead we headed to the land pavilion to grab some lunch.
I got my go to meal here, a nice caesar salad. I swear by it (but it could also be because I’m obsessed with caesar salads) This time an m&m cookie was calling my name and it was delicious.

28993564994_a9df368390_z.jpg

Because we only did one thing at Epcot today we decided that we would come back tomorrow and try to get more done. And with that we headed out of the park and back to the resort.

Following along, looking forward to an update, and more pics of Sara Sleeping.
Thats so kind of you, I'm shocked you didn't just keep on with your lurking like you normally do.
Although you come off as a creeper about wanting to see sara sleep, I am happy to say I've got a lot more photos of that.

The Disney Caeser Salad, a great go to meal at any of the parks. :smokin:
It really is! I go for the pizza meals because it comes with a side salad. I'm obsessed!

Glad to read another TR from you! Following along! :dance3:
YAY!!! welcome back!

Having A Wild Afternoon

Once leaving Epcot we had to hang out a bit at the bus stop. But once that motor coach came to pick us up it was a marvelous thing…thanks to the AC. And Sara really seemed to enjoy the cold bus to take a cat nap in.

29510287332_5effa6c7dc_z.jpg

Arriving back at the room wasn’t actually on our plan for the day but taking a half hour break out of the parks was a great idea.

29510287172_362b2f1eec_z.jpg

It didn't take us to long before we were back off to a night of fun at Animal Kingdom. This week was the start of Awaken Summer with all the fun night life activities at AK.

Erin was the lucky one who was randomly selected to go through the metal detector this time around. So I took this time to run off and get a photo.
I remember way back when, when this park wasn’t a favorite. I was young and foolish and I’m glad I don’t feel that way anymore.

29510285622_d4f762a4d4_z.jpg

To the left of the entrance we saw a slowly but surely Avatarland coming together

28996847253_88cba0b478_z.jpg

One thing that never changes about this park is that they blast the heat in the invisible dome called animal kingdom and today was nothing different.

28996845743_ab162d2a51_z.jpg

28996842923_8df6e946d0_z.jpg

Since we knew we were spending most of our day here I decided to hold off fast passes in the morning for the other parks and get them for our afternoon when crowds were heavier.
We made the hot trek to the back of the park to go find us a yeti while we “climbed” up everest.

28996840373_a8aa979b84_z.jpg

Having the walls down and the stadium seating in view was a new and weird sight. But I was excited to check out the Jungle book later tonight. (but the real question is when is Rivers of Light going to be a thing?)

28996837473_4fb4626815_z.jpg

28996835433_8ede9f1b39_z.jpg

The worst thing is when the fastpass line is super long, and thats what we came across once arriving to expedition everest. Luckily we had the fan (which is meant for the CM) pointing on us.

While in line I planned my next disney trip and this time I planned on trying out the new resort, the yeti palace hotel. It has rooms with showers and free wifi?! what a luxury!

29330506410_41662dd97d_z.jpg

We were really excited to see the magic band interactive screens again. This time both Kiss and Sara were the chosen ones. But Disney when is it going to be my turn?!

29330505580_7ec1f0d1b2_z.jpg

Next thing we know we are face to face with a yeti, and i decide it would be a great time to be fetchingly draped against our cart.

29082042944_4a337bbb00_o.png

We had an hour to kill before our FotlK fp. We walked around forever until we decided to become honorary bugs because who doesn’t like a good butt massage when the bugs run underneath you?
The wait wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t the wait I would normally wait for this attraction. What do you mean I have to wait outside in the sun? The only good thing that comes from this is being able to appreciate the different animals.

29082106764_a0ab86b1d1_z.jpg

Just kidding those are roots. But that wasn’t what my sister (Danielle) thought when we were kids. We never let her forget how stupid that comment was.
I was ready to be an honorary bug, but I was even more excited for AC and being able to sit for a long period of time (priorities)

Surprise!!! Fail...

Its tough to be a bug was a great choice because the amount of times Sara jumped from all the “bugs” made me die from laughter.
We still had some time to kill and nothing to do in the short amount of time. So why not go get some starbs?! Like every other time I come here they always ask if I want to donate to the conservation fund and every time I do. This time they gave us a cute baby elephant disney button. Once everyone ordered we all showed off our buttons and Sara was the only one who didn’t feel like saving the elephants that day, although once she saw that we all did she felt bad.

Give me the biggest strawberry refresher you can give me! It was so great on a hot day.

29799786965_05b3c2a9d2_z.jpg

This is when things didn’t go as planned. We were able to get in line earlier then what our time slot said, which was great because that would make us in the front of the line and thats the best for getting good seats. Well I was the only one to go in, Sara called my name and told me to get out of line. Right then and there I knew what was going on, and while I was suppose to be super excited I was a little mad that we wasted a fastpass.
So what was going on?! Well this trip was surprises/new things for Sam’s Birthday and Erin had planned a few things during the trip to surprise me with. And one of those would be happening now or so we thought.
We headed to a CM with a clipboard and Erin said a name that our VIP viewing was under…but jokes on us it wasn’t on that list. We waited there for a good 15 minutes or so trying to get it straightened out. Erin was calling back home, who had to call a stage manager who was happening to be working at flight of wonder and not Fotlk that day. So we never got through and had to go back into the fastpass line, all the way in the back might I add, and it was like a total buzz kill. Erin was the most mad at this point, but it was what it was and at least I got to watch my favorite show and the tumble monkeys. My life was going to be ok.

Let the processional begin!

Meeting The Love Of My Life

Dinosaur was a little bit dead today, the stand by line was non existent and we got on even quicker because we had fastpasses.

29798120176_5fedf6d61c_z.jpg

In order to catch a dino you need to be a dino, we have a scared Sara followed by a t-rex, pterodactyl, and a brachiosaurus.

29207300583_121e9246b2_o.png

Once we got off with our dino Erin got a message telling us to go to the 6 o'clock show for lion king. We had to do a quick little jog back to the other side of the park because we didn’t have much time. We made it, checked in and had to wait forever. Something happened during the show before hand, a cm was telling another one that it was just one but two…whatever that means?!
Once they were ready for show time we were escorted in and given the front row of the wart hog section. Since they were running behind schedule the set was already in the middle of the floor ready to go. I had only seen this once and it was when they skipped the tumble monkey section and if that happened again I would cry.
On with the show, let the processional begin.

After the show we were quickly taken to the exit before all the over guests. Not only did we get front row seating but a special meet with the cast of the show. This has been on my list of things I’ve never done but needed to at Disney and the fact that Erin got it to happen makes me one lucky friend.
While we waited outside for the cast Erin panicked because she couldn’t find her phone. She told the CM who brought us back and immediately took her back in the sea of people. Afterwards Erin told us that the kid took her on top of the set because it “would be quicker, and she should hold his hand so she doesn’t get lost” real smooth.
When she came back out he goes “your friend had her phone the whole time” Only Erin!
There were other groups back taking pictures as well so we waited around. The cast was super sweet but in all honesty I was just so happy the monkeys were there. The love was strong today for them.

29750813031_70123535d8_z.jpg

My day couldn’t get any better then what already happened. So we left the harambe theatre and headed for Erin’s attraction. Ready or not, Kali here we come!

Sam the pictures are wonderful. I love the tumble monkeys too. Best part of the show in my opinion.

So glad to see another TR! What an amazing surprise at FOTLK! Anxious to see how the rest of your day at AK ended up :)

Thunderstorms and Sunsets

Once arrive to the dead end that is Kali river rapids we first checked to see if there was FP available because the wait was at a ridiculous 70 minutes. There wasn’t so we decided just to wait it out because we didn’t have anything else planned till the night life picked up.

29782633681_5be54aecd0.jpg

The wait time lied to us because we basically waited 5 minutes before making it to the front.
Erin was kind enough to bring huge zip lock bags with her on this trip and we all put our belongings in them. I guess I haven’t been on this ride in forever because I was unaware that they got ride of the middle pocket to put all your stuff in it.

29782633021_1af915024f.jpg

29782632781_b81b529c0d.jpg

And like any great ride on the rapids we got absolutely soaked. Poor Erin got it the worst with the wave coming right over the top of her.

29782632341_d489f1eaf9.jpg

However I was prepared for this and brought an extra change of clothes to change into for afterwards. Of course by this time the sky decided it wanted to open up and start raining. I knew we had about 5 minutes max before the downpour would start, meaning we just changed into dry clothes so we needed to find shelter and we needed to find it fast.
It was a great time for grab some dinner so we headed to the other side of the park to hang out in Restaurantosaurus. I’ve never ate there and I knew it was an inside quick service. I made Erin grab us a table while we ordered food because more and more people started pilling in to escape the storm.
The storm was never ending, even after we were done eating it was still coming down good. Poor people waiting in the forever long line for the jungle book.
We all decided to just accept the rain as we went over to the gift shop outside of Dinosaur because Sara needed to pick some stuff up for her family.

29238822943_60cc78a48f.jpg

Then we headed back to the dinosaur gift shop so Sara could browse there and the rest of us just found a nice spot of the ground to sit and wait. By this time the rain was calming down so we used this time to check my disney experience to see what attractions were open. The nighttime safari was up and running with a short wait, so we made Sara hurry and we headed back to the other side of the park.

29238822833_6f4c6367a4.jpg

It looked like jungle book alive was canceled and the line was already growing for the last one, even though they didn’t know if there would be one. Knowing we probably wouldn’t get the chance to see it, I decided to stop on the bridge and take a photo. A guy next to me was doing the same thing and said “Need “proof” to say I saw it even if it doesn’t perform tonight” Same dude!

29237924744_8374e63d34.jpg

Although it was a dreary night the lighting around Everest was beautiful. I could see myself romping around Animal kingdom at night more often and be very content about it. Especially tonight because the storm ran most people out and it was pretty empty.

29237924324_15471b1ef3.jpg

And like every 10 minutes of this trip Sara goes “I know I asked a million times but where are we going?” It was such a recurring question that at this point I don’t think I even answered her. She would just have to be surprised once we arrive to our destination.
With the announcement of Animal Kingdom staying open later, I was really excited for the night time safari. So although we didn’t get to see the new nighttime entertainment we got to try one new thing.

29782628531_613247bf3b.jpg

The safari was a bust, and if you ever find yourself having to wait a long time for it I would suggest doing something else. Our tour was basically “shout it out if you see anything” and once those headlights went off an animal you wouldn’t be able to see it.

29845365191_e903cacc18.jpg

The coolest part however was the sunset, photos don’t do it justice.
“Is that really the sunset?!”-Sara. One might fall for it at 7-8ish but not 10pm. The family in front of us got a kick out of her comment (probably thinking she was joking…)

29845362981_72ec1f2531.jpg

There was also a moonlight section, but the huge lights pretending to be the moon were very visible and basically the only thing to look at while we drove through.

29845363271_fc45c4f321.jpg

By the time we were done with the safari is was 10:30 and we decided to call it a night. But by the time we got to the tree of life we were drawn in and spent a good amount of time waiting around to see if it would come to life.

29894522576_9eeee54c85.jpg

We assume nothing would happen so we headed out. After taking about 10 steps music started and a show was projected on the tree. Its different each time and tonight we saw a little fox run around the tree with a bear. It was different.
A bus was waiting for us when we got to our stop and Sara seemed thrilled and thankful to be going back to the room.

Once back at the room the real party started. I was beyond exhausted but that didn’t stop me from performing all of festival of the lion king. And then it was goodnight world because we had a bright and early morning at the kingdom tomorrow!

A Morning In The Kingdom

Today we got to “sleep in” aka we woke up around 7:15. But hey its better than 6:30 like the morning before. Our plan was to leave the room at 7:45, Kiss and I stuck to that plan and left Erin and Sara in the room. Sorry but I have places to be. They ended up running to the bus stop and we all made it on the bus that was waiting to take us to the kingdom.
We got there nice and early and got some prime viewing for the morning show.

And like every morning I spend at the MK we headed straight for tomorrowland as everyone else ran to the mine train.

29845986831_dc5a8f9b5c.jpg

As we entered tomorrowland a group of custodial and their managers were welcoming guests in and passing out stickers. The sticker Erin got made me a bit emotional to my DCP days.

Whats better then space mountain as your first ride of the morning to wake you up?!

29952758095_aaf7b68551.jpg

Afterwards we decided to stay in tomorrowland and get as much as we could done. So next up Buzz lightyear spin in hopes of becoming a galactic hero.
Seemed like Buzz called off sick today

Being a galactic hero didn’t happen today but one day it will

On the plus side I kicked Kiss’s butt.

We had fastpasses for Space Mountain but on our way over we ran into some spacemunks and had to stop.

Dale and I instantly fell in love, what can I say I have a soft spot for funny guys

And it’s never a meet and greet with Erin unless we take one big group selfie

Then we headed back to Space because we’re going on a trip in our favorite rocketship!

I'm with you on Space Mountain. That is my go to on rope drop. Less crowded since Dwarfs Mine Train opened. I remember when the masses ran to Space Mountain.

Yes! I'm grateful for mine train taking most of the crowds towards fantasyland.

Tomorrowland it has been fun but its time for us to adventure into a new land. And since Erin has been talking about how I wouldn’t let her go on Pirates during the christmas party thats the next thing that needed to be completed.
But first lets skip across the hub and take a selfie with a disney horse

29870338291_374c487bea.jpg

As we walked through adventure land we passed by skipper canteen, a place still on my list of places to eat.

The people in the row behind us were knew to this ride and I think the best part of this ride through was hearing their comments. “Oh no were gonna get wet!!!” Just kidding that was just fog. “They look so real, there are so many johnny depps” “oh look the dog has the key!” Thank you family for all the joy on a ride I’ve been on a million times.
After pirates we decided to go hang out with the happy haunts. This is when we passed another place I want to eat at (because apparently thats the only reason I go to Disney)

The new hitch hiking ghost sequence is pretty awesome! But heres to Disney tracking everyone through our magic bands

29931327161_c4f284386c.jpg

Since we were in liberty square like any Hamilton fan we headed to hall of presidents to go to the closest thing in disney to “the room where it happens”
Cause I’ve got to be in the room where it happens

29386925524_708ac247e3.jpg

and while we’re at it, “it must be nice to have Washington on your side”

29931326861_c7776328f0.jpg

After all the Hamilton puns Kiss and I could think of we headed back to my favorite land.

29931326391_2e65f721dc.jpg

And over to Thunder Mountain. And like any good wild ride, goat effect was just grand. After walking all over the kingdom it was time for us to get some food, AC and re-energize. Pinocchio’s was the winner.
This menu I feel like is constantly changing and with that I went with their new chicken parm sandwich. Kiss was made that they got rid of his weird flatbread sandwich thing and went with an Italian flatbread pizza. Basically flatbread pizza and breadsticks for everyone except Sam who had to get her favorite caesar salad.

A cute little gem in the restaurant is the wish book. So of course I had to right my wish in it. Disney make it come true please!

29386926124_7561d6e6c2.jpg

After getting our bellies nice and full the best option next for us would be to throw ourselves down into a brier patch.
Home sweet Home is the lesson today!

29980984816_663e97f1cc.jpg

We made a new friend in our log and it was great to have him join along (actually I have no clue who this kid is in our photo)

There are 2 types of people when it comes to Splash Mountain
Those who love getting stuck by the waterfall to cool them off

30015017805_e26c2b2ae2.jpg

And those who dislike getting stuck by the waterfall.

30015016945_4a6c5b3581.jpg

But overall the best part of splash mountain is the drop and the photo
I got my bae-noculars out!
