Away We Go, Its Festival Of Fantasy

After splash mountain we were able to get a new fastpass, so we headed to the kiosks near the golden horseshoe. There was a little bit of a line so we waited for a bit. Once we got to be the 2-3rd group Sara goes “Oh we are in line for Fastpasses? I thought it was for the bathroom” Silly girl.
It was almost about that time to grab spots for the parade. We didn’t want to stray to far from frontierland so whats better than escaping the florida heat and being entertained by a few bears, nothing. The answer is nothing.
I get really excited for Country bears because I feel like I relate to them in a hot mess but also really funny, kind of way. However I feel like Sara was way more excited and she never even saw it. But she did say it was because I was always talking about it.

Next up we braved the heat and found a perfect spot for the parade right outside of the country bears on the porch. Then we each took turns running off and getting snacks. Erin and Sara went with a classic mickey bar ice cream while kiss and I got the dole whip floats.

Then it was time for one of my favorite disney parades ever!

Prepare for launch!

One our way out the magic band interaction screens finally allowed me to be part of it!

Tomorrowland it has been fun but its time for us to adventure into a new land. And since Erin has been talking about how I wouldn’t let her go on Pirates during the christmas party thats the next thing that needed to be completed.
But first lets skip across the hub and take a selfie with a disney horse

As we walked through adventure land we passed by skipper canteen, a place still on my list of places to eat.

The people in the row behind us were knew to this ride and I think the best part of this ride through was hearing their comments. “Oh no were gonna get wet!!!” Just kidding that was just fog. “They look so real, there are so many johnny depps” “oh look the dog has the key!” Thank you family for all the joy on a ride I’ve been on a million times.
After pirates we decided to go hang out with the happy haunts. This is when we passed another place I want to eat at (because apparently thats the only reason I go to Disney)

The new hitch hiking ghost sequence is pretty awesome! But heres to Disney tracking everyone through our magic bands

Since we were in liberty square like any Hamilton fan we headed to hall of presidents to go to the closest thing in disney to “the room where it happens”
Cause I’ve got to be in the room where it happens

and while we’re at it, “it must be nice to have Washington on your side”

After all the Hamilton puns Kiss and I could think of we headed back to my favorite land.

And over to Thunder Mountain. And like any good wild ride, goat effect was just grand. After walking all over the kingdom it was time for us to get some food, AC and re-energize. Pinocchio’s was the winner.
This menu I feel like is constantly changing and with that I went with their new chicken parm sandwich. Kiss was made that they got rid of his weird flatbread sandwich thing and went with an Italian flatbread pizza. Basically flatbread pizza and breadsticks for everyone except Sam who had to get her favorite caesar salad.

A cute little gem in the restaurant is the wish book. So of course I had to right my wish in it. Disney make it come true please!

After getting our bellies nice and full the best option next for us would be to throw ourselves down into a brier patch.
Home sweet Home is the lesson today!

We made a new friend in our log and it was great to have him join along (actually I have no clue who this kid is in our photo)

There are 2 types of people when it comes to Splash Mountain
Those who love getting stuck by the waterfall to cool them off

And those who dislike getting stuck by the waterfall.

But overall the best part of splash mountain is the drop and the photo
I got my bae-noculars out!

Yes! Its just hidden in the middle of the tables and its a pretty cute idea




Goat effect:
When going down the second hill you will see a goat on the mountain in front of you. Keep your eyes on it when you make the turn, your turning one way and looking the other way. It just gives you a fun feeling and will push you up against the right side of the cart.

The Quickest Trip Around The World


We followed the parade out of the park but made a pit stop at the hub grass as the parade went down main street.

And when people tell me I have to leave….

We bypassed the main street crowds by going through the empty stores and made it in time to see the ending of the parade.

We followed the herds of people to the exit and up to the monorail

Next stop Epcot. But first to the transportation center. On our way through we stopped for clearance in the middle of the track between the grand floridan and polynesian. Sara goes “is this were we get off” and before I could even stop myself a sarcastic snooty sam comment fell out of my mouth “Yes, we are going to walk on air” but in all honesty bless anyone who puts up with my sarcastic self. Clearance was made, we got to TTC and ran to the epcot monorail

When we got to Epcot we headed straight for the world showcase

Normally when attacking the showcase I go to the left to mexico first but we decided to change it up and go to canada first.

Of course changing it up made us run into an awkward situation. We were just walking by canada when I noticed a bright green shirt passing by, thats when I saw my sisters ex. As we passed by I quietly told kiss that we passed him. Of course kiss looked back because they had a serious bromance and there he was waving to us like we were friends. Let’s not forget he de-friended us, even his bromance. So that was awkward.
The awkwardness soon past as we found ourselves in France

We kind of bypassed france because I was really getting needy for a school bread that was still on the other side of the showcase.

And while it looks like Erin splashed water at Sara, the tile actually burned Sara as she sat down.

JAPAN!!!!! What I would do to go back to the real Japan. But for now the pavilion will just have to do.

I miss Tokyo!

After being sad and wanting to go back to japan, we moved forward and closer to school bread by each pavilion we went too.
We officially hit the half way point….good ole Merica!

PANCHITOOO AND SCHOOL BREAD!

Oh this is the night, its a beautiful night and we call it bella notte

While I do wish we could stay in Italy and eat at Via Napoli, we just didn’t have time for pizza in our schedule today.
On to and threw Germany (again I could really go for some biergarten food)

then to the outpost

We breezed through china because a school bread was waiting for me right next door

and we went to my favorite bakery on disney property

SCHOOL BREAD!!! My life got 10 times better after getting myself this delicious treat. But once getting it I made myself carry it around until we finished walking the world showcase.
Last stop mexico!

Erin never did the gran fiesta tour so it was time to see PANCHITO!!!!!

I was super excited to see the “new” animatronics because PANCHITIOOOO!!!

Jose is no panchito but I guess he’s pretty cool as well

And although I love panchito my love for school bread trumps all.
Just a girl in her natural habitat

And with that we walked around the world in no time

As we headed out of Epcot we stopped by Club Cool because how rude would I be if I didn’t let them try the good ole beverly?!
Guys overall I think it was a hit!

while we tried to leave the park to head back to MK we got suckered into Spaceship earth with a walk on…how could you say no?

Goodbye Epcot, Panchito, school bread, you’ve all been great.
We hopped back on the monorail and to the kingdom we went to finish off the night.
Once getting back into the park it we all need some caffeine so first stop, starbucks.

With starbs in everyones hand it was time to then find some dinner. What quick service would we choose this time? Cosmic Rays because it has the most variety.
Since I just ate school bread I wasn’t really needing a meal so I went off to find a table while the others ordered.

Erin brought back some mac and cheese for me, which I think is a very healthy dinner option.

Sonny was just cracking the jokes tonight and then started singing a song Erin knew very well. The planetary boogie is very near and dear to her heart that she had to jump out of her seat and start doing her old tap dance. And then she rewarded herself with 3 cake pops

After dinner I opted to change and then we were back out romping around tomorrowland

Luckily I brought the best group of people on this trip with me because they let me go to one of my favorite attractions, the great, the big, the beautiful...Carousel of Progress.

And if you don't like CoP, well we don't need your negativity. It's perfect and I will always love it

To add to how amazing my friends are, they also entertained me by joining along in my "dance" each time There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow played.

"Who Invented Rain?!"

Basically Space Mountain was our go to ride throughout the day. So why not go on it again?! This time we had to detour through the dance party to get over to the other side of tomorrowland.
While getting ready for the picture I accidentally told Erin the wrong side, but when we turned I thought she would know it was the wrong side. But apparently not because she was very sad at how the picture turned out. Whoops

When Lisa ruins your life, like let me have my time to shine. rude

KC made a purchase in the gift shop while Erin suited up for blast off

From tomorrowland we headed to the back corner of the park to storybook circus and then off the “new” fantasyland.
If you give me your phone and I’m not allowed to take 100 selfies, are we really friends?! Shoutout to Erin who puts up with me

Sara’s major must do was go meet Ariel and show her her cool sneakers that I painted for her. And lucky for us there was no wait at all in the grotto.
Once arriving under the sea, we played the game of finding ariel and flounder on my Disney sea shirt

I feel as though Sara was more in aw of meeting her favorite princess because she sort of sat there not saying much, and she didn’t even show off her shoes. Poor kid.

Since we were there we decided to go on a Journey under the sea.

Once getting off the ride and walking around fantasyland I saw a familiar face, which happened to be a manager just walking around and could not figure out how I knew them. Then it clicked, it was one of my old managers from DTD, who seemed to now move to the MK family.
We headed back to my favorite land and stopped by the tangled bathrooms because it is the most beautiful at night.

Then we basically ran to Thunder because the parade was about to end and we wanted to beat the crowds. Mission complete, we made it right before the crowds of people beat us too it.

The normal thing to do after going on one mountain is to immediately go to the other mountain next-door. However Splash was down for the night thanks to lightning in the air.
It wasn’t raining and the weather wasn’t bad at all. So our plan was just to wander around froniterland and wait for the lightning to pass. We made ourselves comfortable on the planter in front of the shooting gallery. A few minutes later the wind started picking up and I knew that a storm was on its way, meaning splash or thunder wouldn’t be reopening that night.
We headed to main street to browse the shops and then we decided just to leave the park because the sky decided to open up and downpour.
Many other guests had the same idea because it was basically a mob getting out of the park.
“Guys I think they are closing the park because of the weather.” -sara
Sara’s comments this trip were just too much for me. I couldn’t help but laugh.
Not even a minute after we got to our bus stop the sky opened and it poured hard. And lucky for us it followed us all the way back to the resort. Once arriving to Caribbean Beach it was time for us to run through raindrops. We almost made it back to our building when Sara wiped out…and wiped out hard. I had to turn the corner and burry my face in the wall to let out a little laugh (because clearly I have no emotions) and then we checked to make sure she didn’t break anything. Luckily she got back to the room in one piece and said “Who invented rain?”
And then to finish a long day running, Erin decided to ice her feet…these poor kids, my disney ways and pace were taking a lot out of them.

Our Town Is Growing

Today was our last day in Disney with no more park days. So instead of us waking up at the crack of dawn, we decided to sleep in and it was great.
And another great way we started our day was by listening to Lava You, from one of the cutest shorts pixar ever made.
This morning was planned to be spent at my home away from home, a town thats constantly growing, Disney springs.

The whole landing/springs area just opened and I was dying to see how it looked.
First the bus loop area is huge, but we will get to how I feel about it later.
The drop off and walking into the springs is a little lame in my opinion, I knew the springs area was basically just going to be a mall like shopping area and walking into that first instead of the marketplace is kind of not the Disney feeling.

But the springs makes the whole expansion.

Basically I was obsessed with the new expansion and finally seeing it in person made it even that much better

“Can we swim in the water?”-Sara
Yes absolutely I hope you brought your suit. Maybe we could join the guy already enjoying the springs.

At this point we split up, Erin and Sara headed to the west side while Kiss and I headed for the marketplace.

Hello zone 5 (are you even zone 5 anymore? I don’t know how the expansion effects the custodial zones of DTD)

We walked by the demolished futons that will now be the paddlefish

And oh hey new fountain when did you get here? I couldn’t help but point out all the new, even if it was little things.

This place was where I spent almost half a year walking around, “working”, knowing the ins and outs so seeing it all change brings a lot of feels. On the plus side Kiss is use to my love for DTD/ disney springs and just lets me go with it. We like to play the “what zone are we in” and soon he too could work at Disney springs.

The new lego sign is awesome and one day I will be able to say I have been to all the Disney parks.

The only tough question is which park to next? Possibly Shanghai/ hong kong?

Once getting to the marketplace everything was still closed for maybe 10 more minutes and the only store was one of my personal favorites.

WOD, its been awhile.

I had to stop myself from dishing out all my money and headed to the co op.
Shoutout to the man who is the master of dreams and hope, an individual who can make your dreams come true. My life would be drastically different if he never followed his dreams and create a place to escape from reality.

We made our way back because I wanted to try sprinkles.
But if you don’t think I didn’t stop a hundred times before reaching our destination, you clearly don’t know me.
We stumbled upon THE disney spring wall and if you don’t get a picture with it did you really ever go to Disney springs?!

Then I gawked over all the new stuff some more

Until we finally reached our destination, nothing like cupcakes for breakfast!

Cupcakes For Breakfast

This was my first time at sprinkles so I didn’t know what to expect. I really wanted to us the cupcake atm because how cool is that. However when I saw what cupcakes where available they didn’t have to funfetti sprinkle one. So we had to go inside for that. This morning they didn’t have a certain tray or whatever they normal give the cupcakes out in and asked if I wanted to pay 50 cents for a container, no thank you I will gladly just take my cupcake.
KC wanted to do the atm so we headed back outside and got a cupcake, what flavor that was I have no idea.

What we learned was that there was a charge to use the atm so its basically cheaper to just buy one inside, 10 feet away.

The cupcakes were great but I feel as though you can’t really go wrong with a funfetti.

After our little snack we met back up with Erin and Sara and headed off to the epcot resorts.
The new bus loop is huge and a long walk compared to the little bus stop that was down at the market place. The new one was actually kind of awful, in my opinion, to walk.

“Are we going to the swan or the dolphin?”-Sara
None we are going to the boardwalk. The real struggles when you share bus stops.
On a down day, resort hopping is one of my favorite things to do. And while walking around why not have a little photo shoot?

It was so hot that Kiss and Sara sat in the shade while we goofed around.

But then Sara was missing out on all the fun and decided to join in

The only downfall with these little photoshoots is that I’m an antsy person who can’t stand still and on top of that I don’t know how to take a nice photo.

And thats when we decided to go inside to get some AC and everyone seemed to be so happy about life

I love the Boardwalk! I got married at Sea Breeze Point (it's a kind of covered gazebo area that is between the Boardwalk and Epcot) at the Boardwalk in 2007! My cake was from the Boardwalk bakery (and covered in gold Mickey heads). It is my dream to stay there on a future visit!
