A Princess, Pirates and Pixie Dust!

Awesome chapter! I love all the pics. The kids seem super excited, and I can't believe the pixie dust on meeting Rapunzel first! That would definitely be worth the early morning in my book.

I'm so glad that Mav was able to ease into the rides and actually enjoy them. And your son looks so at home holding him for the pictures. :goodvibes

I have yet to catch rope drop at Magic Kingdom and we have been there quite a few times. But that's what happens when you keep closing down all the parks the night before. :rotfl: One of these days it will happen. Last year i got to stay onsite for the first time, maybe the next time we will do a RD.

The next chapter title has me on pins and needles. I constantly discussed my fear of coasters in our TR and nicknamed myself DW (does not stand for Disney Wife or Dear Wife) anytime a coaster is sought out, and that tends to happen a lot with my wonderful, thrill seeking husband :rotfl2:

I look forward to the next installment!

Hi Mrs Bunny!:goodvibes

Thank you - I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It was a relief to see Mav settle in - we joked that after that week he thought his new life was a theme park! :rotfl2:

Well, when you party like you two do - it is hard to be up before the sun! We rarely close down a park, which I really enjoy, so I think the grass is always greener?

Well, we certainly had to climb up the ladder of thrill rides this trip! DW! :lmao:
Thanks for being here!

How amazing, that your son and his family are adopting not one, but two babies! That is so beautiful, it really brings a tear to my eye.

Can't wait to read more!

Hi Norybell! Thank you! and thank you so much for joining us!

YOU DO LIKE ROLLER COASTERS!
Now that wed had such a successful morning, with Princesses, and Mermaids, Horses and Elephants and a Flying Boy, the troops were getting hungry! We usually head for Pecos Bills when we are in this area, but the boys and I remembered eating at CHH years ago on our very first visit and I had read that you could get a table upstairs away from the crowd, so to Liberty Square we went!

Jim went upstairs to save a table or two gasp! No flames please!

Some of the kids joined him having placed their orders, and the rest of us jostled through the crowd with our trays and up the stairs A-L-L the way down to the end of the room SCORE! We had 3 tables in an alcove right by the window looking down on the street! There were condiments and napkins nearby, and we could just enjoy a quiet lunch and talk about our next adventures.
Dana and I both had the white tuna sandwich on whole grain, Ryan and Jim both had the lobster roll. Im sure Mark had a burger because he doesnt like seafood. Im not really sure what he and Lindsay had, and I think all of the kids had chicken nuggets. I didnt do food porn this trip - but I do know we all enjoyed it here is their menu http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?restaurant.id=149#menu

So with full tummies, it was time to see what else was out there to be explored! Im not sure if this happened while we were eating, or before lunch, but we had FP for Splash Mountain that came due about now, so we could get another set of TMRR passes before riding Splash. We discovered that with 2 strollers, we could all go up to the FP check in in two groups and get 2 child swaps that let us get 6 more riders, so some of the kids could do it twice, or Jim and I could watch the little ones and go later. It made it easier to divide and conquer!

We had Evan and Mav both asleep in strollers, so Jim and I took them down in the play area under BTMRR so we could all be in the shade.
The group came back and they were all wet None of the kids liked the ride they just hated the drop. Ride Photo:

This is so funny! The adults are all trying to make a funny face, and the kids are NOT trying to make a funny face. :lmao:

Now it was time for a round of BTMRR!!! Jim and I stayed out with the littles, who were waking up and playing by now. Myles and Mark stayed out with us, too. When the first group came back, Londynn and Mason said it was too fast! and Londynn had been crying. This freaked Myles out! No way was he going on that scarey ride.

I want to pause a moment and take you back in time&.. (I tried to insert a swirly emoticon ala Waynes World here, but I cant make it work, so just imagine a swirling kaleidoscope&)
Myles is 3 and Londynn is 11 mos. We are with them at Disneyland and Myles is terrified of anything that moves or is dark even small world could be because the first ride we took him on was the Nemo sub or we tried to crawl down that dark hole with him nothin doin. Then we took him on POTC and that scared him so that whole trip, he happily sat on Papas shoulders smiling and waving at the rest of us as we rode the kiddie rides .

So here we are 5 years later, it is round two and Mark and I were going with Myles on BTMRR. He is still convinced he doesnt like most rides - Mark and Lindsay decided that some of this reticence was a ploy for attention, so none of us were allowed to placate or comfort him. Both he and Londynn were told that if it was decided that they might like a ride, they had to try it once, and then if they didn't like it, they didn't have to ride it ever again!
He begged Mark all the way through the FP line PLEASE dont make me go on this ride! Dad, you KNOW I hate roller coasters! You say I liked that Tony Hawk ride at Six Flags, but I HATED IT! This was really hard for me to watch because my grandma heart was tugging, but I followed the rules because they always seem to know what he needs. We got on the ride, I was sitting by myself behind the two of them. When we first took off, Myles had his head buried in Marks arm then slowly he sat up then a scream or two - about half-way through, at the place where we could see Mommy standing there watching, he sat up and clapped and gave her a big THUMBS UP! Mark said, See you DO like roller coasters! Mark and I were both laughing so hard we were crying!

Well, Papa had to get the kids a treat for conquering 2 mountains today!

More of the Best Magic Kingdom day to come!

So happy Myles decided he like roller coasters! I think suckers are the best treat for conquering mountains!

Hey! How come I never get a treat for being a DW and conquering the coasters with T-Man? :confused3 :lmao:

Great update! I think the old "don't knock it till you try it" routine is a great way to show anyone what they could be missing out on, and may even give them a fantastic way to learn something new or learn that they really enjoy something. I was coddled as a child, and if I didn't like something, then no problem...Really gave me a wake up call now as an adult, where i am trying things for the first time and really enjoying them, and wondering why I never did them back then. Plus, kids bounce back better than us adults do :rotfl:

Oh my!

Jim went upstairs to save a table or two gasp! No flames please!

No flames?

NO FLAMES?!?!?

Oh, wait... That's right. I don't care.

Or, rather... I do the same thing and don't care if someone else cares.

SCORE! We had 3 tables in an alcove right by the window looking down on the street!

Yup. Nice score.

:lmao: Love those faces! The adults are funny... but the kids are hysterical!

Part of me then thinks, "Aw, those poor tykes...."

then I burst out laughing.

Party time! Excellent!

That must've been really tough for you. Did you feel like you just wanted to grab him and run away and save him?

Just how many alcoholic beverages do you need, lady? :lmao:

When he was little, he got a toy Zurgg for riding the Autopia cars! :rotfl2:

Cute pics! :)

About the treat - next time hold out for a pair of earrings, or something!:lmao:

Me neither. If someone else has a table I would like, I don't get angry because how dare they sit there before I did. :rotfl:
At the risk of being REALLY rebellious - I don't care if someone saves their family members a place in line, either. Life isn't fair at every moment of the day - it all comes out in the wash eventually.

Yup. Nice score.

::yes::

:lmao: Those faces are priceless for sure! I wonder if Disney wants to use it in their ads??? Nah, probably not. :lmao:

doodle do...dooodly do.... doodly do....

Yes, I wanted to take him back to the pool!

:rotfl: That's great!

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Next time she wants earrings - pass it on!

I can do earrings next time. Saw a cute pair of Minnie earrings at World of Disney for $5. That will cost me less than the beer I usually buy her.

I love it when you get kids on a ride who say they don't like it but then end up loving it at the end!! I love the Splash Mountain picture!! Fun update!

I have to share that Jeff's cousin took his girlfriend and her DD to Disneyland this summer (her first trip). Got her on Space Mountain and she got off of it smiling it cuz she loved it!! His first words to her were what did you think of the loop (yes he knows there is no loop on Space Mountain). Her response was "that was my favorite part!!" After that they didn't have any problems the rest of the trip. Got her on California Screamin' and they rode it 4 or 5 times from what I remember.

That's a great trick! We should have tried that after Space Mtn! :lmao:

I thought it was. I was busting up laughing the whole time when he told us that (she wasn't there when he told us). The daughter is 9 so I was actually surprised she was tricked. We asked Jeremy about the loop on one of our trips last year and his answer was... "We don't go upside down on Space Mountain." Guess he's been on it too many times for us to trick. :rotfl:

Yep, he's a DIS Veteran for sure! :goodvibes

Awesome picture from Splash! The kids only look slightly terrified! :rotfl:

Way to go Myles! It doesn't get better than 2 thumbs up. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I was just commenting on my TR that BTMMR is one of my all time favorite rides because its got something for everyone, young & old, chicken and thrill ride seeker!

Great update!

Big Spender!

You said to buy her earrings. You didn't specify they had to be made of gold and have diamonds, ruby's or some other type of stone in them.

I bought her gold and ruby one's for our wedding. I think I've only seen her wear them one other time (that I can recall) since that day.

I forgot how good that pic was until I pulled it up for this TR! It's a classic! :lmao:

BTMRR is like that! For most of us, it is just enough excitement. I think most of MK is like that - such a good family park!

And he's only 6 1/2!! I figured it out if you count the two times I went while pregnant with him he's been to Disneyland 15 times and WDW once!

I'm jealous - I've only been 12.

That's because she's saving them for a special occasion! :goodvibes In 33 yrs of marriage (on Friday) I've gotten a few special items like that - I have to admit I rarely wear them, and I actually gave my granddaughter one of the necklaces for her 6th Birthday - so the moral of the story is, MORE SPECIAL OCCASIONS! :lmao:

I'm jealous - I've only been 12.

So am I!! :lmao: I think by the time I was 6 I'd only been 2 times. Then between ages 6 and when Jeff and I started going in 2004 I'd only been about 5 times. But now that I've gotten Jeff into Disney we go at least once a year if not more!!
