I saw that; but it ends the day before we get there.

It was great. Claire really enjoyed the balcony spot. It was a I told you so moment
Aww. Thats nice, but I still hate my wrinkley eyes!
I was happy with Easter bunny..She...I mean he knows how to find good deals.
The bathrooms are so neat on the ship. I should've took a bathroom tour.
I was surprised Claire went for Pluto over Goofy. He used to be here favorite. She would call him Goopy.
The Fisn extender is for Disney cruise lines and I think exclusive to Diosboard. You join a group goin on the same sailing and you make/buy gifts and deliver them to each room. The Fishe extender hangs on a fish thing (though on the Dream they have different things like sea horses, etc, L outside you room door. They have pockets and thats where you leave your gifts.
A good reason to go a day early then!
Hey, you can't just drop a bomb like that and leave me hanging! Where is this info??? I just checked the WDW site and mousesavers and neither one has anything about FD. I'm confused. I have to make ADRs Saturday morning and this info would help me a lot! I really need to know the dates!
Edited to add: Ok, it just dawned on me to check the Disney Visa website and they are showing that it only extends through September 24th.... is that what everyone else has read? If so, that is a total bummer! We are going in October and I haven't seen a thing from October-December like in previous years!
We're actually getting there on the 22nd, but we are staying DVC thanks to a friend and not doing the dining plan until we move to the Coronado on the 25th.
Enjoying your report very much. And I do love your tie-dyed outfits, did you do them yourself or did you buy them somewhere?
Anxious for your next installment.
yes, jsut till the 24th. And I got the Visa email.
Bummer. Would it be worth it to still pay for 1 night extra at Coronado to get the free dining? Even though you can still stay at the other place, just check in and get the credits and then move the next day. It might save you some cash in the long run.
I had them made. A Diser makes them and she has a shop on etsy. You can search tie dye or mickey tie dye ther and find a lot of neat stuff.
Back at the room we got dressed in our nicer clothes to get ready to go to the early show. Claire was wearing her Rapunzel dress. We also brought along a hair piece to wear with a long braid. I put it on Claire’s head and pinned it on…..ow.ow.ow! She said it hurt too much. Now when we bought this, I had asked over and over, “are you sure it doesn’t hurt? You are going to wear it right?” And she said it felt fine and yes she would wear it. Well she didn’t. I wasn’t going to have her complain about pain all evening so I just put it back in the bag….BUT she WILL be Rapunzel for Halloween and she WILL wear that braid thing! LOL!
I called Skip one last time. We still hadn’t set sail, (still waiting for 1 more bus) but I knew we would be soon. We said our goodbyes and then I pulled the camera out and took a few more shots from the verandah.
I bet this would be pretty on a sunny day.
Now the memory is a little fuzzy and I didn’t write this down. I must’ve left the room for some reason. I have several pictures and I remember taking them and being by myself when doing so. So I must’ve just gone for a quick walk, or went to get something that I now can’t remember. The order of the pictures make no since as to why I did this at this time, but I guess I did for some good reason! LOL!
AH HA!!!!! It just hit me! I hadn’t received tickets for our shore excursion for the next day in our room. So I ran down to Guest Services to see if I needed them and they reprinted them for me and said they should’ve been in my room and the originals probably would show up by the end of the night. They never did show up though.
This is behind the Guest Services desk.
Some random shots around the Atrium.
I noticed a photographer setting up and asked what time they would start taking pictures. I believe she told me 7 or 7:30. I can’t seem to remember now for sure.
I must’ve then taken an elevator up.
The adult pool. As you can see, it is still very wet out.
And then back to the room.
Mom had me give Dad a call to see how he was doing. He had left Kennedy Space Center and was lost. He said he had asked for directions several times and couldn’t find his way. It was raining hard and he was too upset to talk, he would call back later. I told him that we would be sailing soon and most likely he wouldn’t be able to get a hold of us later. He did say that there was a tornado watch or warning while he was at the Space Center and they had to put everyone is a protective building. He wasn’t happy about that either. I let him go after a few minutes as he was just very worried about where he was. I told him to call his sister and see if she could help or pull off the road till the hard rain stopped.
Just then we started to sail away. NOTHING special about it at all!!! No announcements, no horn, No CM’s with Mickey hands waving to us…NOTHING… just pulling away from the port. I was kind of bummed about it. I also had wanted to watch us pull out all the way to the ocean, but I couldn’t do that either. The 6:15 show would be starting soon. I think we started sailing about 6ish.
So the best I could do was take a couple of pictures.
Claire enjoying a sucker from one of the gifts in the Fish Extender.
Bye bye Port!
And then we left the room and headed to the Walt Disney Theatre.
Claire looks adorable in her Rapunzel dress!
Such a bummer that the weather put a damper on the sail away. Hope you have sunny skies the rest of the trip! Did your dad end up finding his way to his sister's okay?
I'm glad you mentioned that about your excursion tickets, I never would have thought to look for those, guess I just figured they'd have our names on a list or something.
That stinks about the nothing special about leaving port
Claire looks adorable in her Rapunzel dress. We only just recently saw that movie, and the boys wanted to watch it like 7 times this past weekend, and I have a new favorite princess
Hope your Dad was ok, I remember when that tornado hit Florida
Love to Rapunzel Dress! Stinks you missed the boat leaving. Sounds like the weather gods were just not playing nice! Hope the rest of your evening was salvaged!
He did make it, but he had a heck of a time finding the main route to get there. The thing is he was following the driections I gave him exactly and I guess some of those roads were blocked off or non existant for public travel and he didn't know what to do.
I only kind of thought of th tickets because I read about them on other TRs.
Yeah the send off was less than special, but I was still excited.
The day was still good, even though it didn't go as planned. I was on vacation and not home!!!
Jen - where did you get the Rapunzel dress? DD wants to be Rapunzel for MNSSHP in October and the BBB does not have the dress anymore. I asked when I made ressies for it. DD said she did not want to do BBB if they did not have Rapunzel.
I beleive I got it on Costumes 4 less. It did say on the site that the dress runs big...I found that to be NOT true.
They do have it on other sites as well. It's not called Rapunzel though. I think it's listed as Tower Princess.
I didn’t pay attention to the map that well when I looked to see where the theatre was. It said decks 3 and 4, so we went in on deck 4…which I found out was the Balcony. So we missed all the “Hollywood” fun that happens at the main entrance. But Claire liked the balcony and we ended up sitting there for each show. You do have to be careful where you sit though. There are several big round poles that can block your view in a few of the seats.
The seats were comfy and roomy though.
The Theatre was very pretty.
Soon our cruise director came out to start the show. I believe his name was Ray…or Roy…I think Ray. But I had seen Rachel…a girl…in all other TR’s I had read thus far about the Dream, so I don’t know if they trade off or if he is now the Cruise director for the Dream….or how that works. I did like him though. He was fun, and had lots of spirit.
The show then started and I took A LOT of pictures…and I was happy to see that they actually turned out well.
Snow White was behind a screen here.
Snow White and Doopy then brought out kids dressed as Dwarves, It was very cute.
Oh, I love re-living this trip with you since I just did it too!!
Claire looks adorable in the Rapunzel dress (even with out the braid!).
Bummer about the weather messing with the big sail away. But, you're right - you were still on a beautiful ship!! Love all the details and the cool lighting etc. You took some beautiful shots of the ship!
I also forgot to take a picture of my door all decorated and FE!! It's so dumb because my neighbor is cruising in May and asked me to take a picture of her door. Yup, I sure remembered to do that! Just not my own!! DOH! Where's the smilie smacking himself in the head?
Oh, the sail away party looks like fun. The characters are so cute decked out in their outfits.
Great job on the pictures! I need to figure out how to do that!
I love Claire's Rapunzel Dress -- she looks so pretty.
And the theater is beautiful and you got some great shots of the show!
I love reliving it. There are so many places I never even made it too. I would love to take a day just to take pictures.
I can't beleive I forgot to take a picture of our door too. I know at one time I mentioned to Claire that we needed to do that, but I'm sure I never did.
The dress ended up being itchy, so we will have to have her wear a shirt under it in the future.
The party was very fun.
I like that dress better than the one Disney offers. But it was itchy. So from now we'll have to wear a shirt under it.
The Golden Mickey show looks great! Claire is just adorable in her Rapunzel dress. Sure hope you Dad got where he was going in all that rain.
