Hi...I will be hitting the beach at Castaway in 6 months time..for the very first time!:cool1:

Whats the best time to get off the boat?..we are early risers so what is the earliest?

Its August so it will be HOT!...We will want to rent rings or floats and snorkel equipment..where do we do this?...

Do we pay with our KTTW card or do we need cash?

If we rent floats etc...does this mean we can not get the tram?

Where is the BEST place to park up and set up base camp with a couple of sunbeds in the shade..but close to the water/bar/restrooms/cookies

Where is the tween area situated?

My DH is interested in the snorkel excursion that takes you further out to sea...what time does this start and for how long?

Thanks soooo much for any advice!!:)

I'm sure others will chime in, but have you looked up a map of cc? It'll give tou a sense of the lay out! :thumbsup2 KTTW card is how to pay, we normally get off right when the ship pulls in, 9ish? You can rent all you mentioned on the island so you don't really need to get on trams with all that stuff. We like being on the family beach near the conch bar I think it's called. Not sure about the snorkel cruise but times would be in the excursion info I imagine. Have you checked out a DCL guidebook? Passporters is especially good and gave very clear info I found super helpful for our first cruise! :goodvibes

Hi I hope I can help you. I do activities very similar to you when at Castaway Cay! First off if you know you want rentals (rings, snorkel gear) you can place a reservation for them when you make your Shore Excursions then all you have to bring is your ticket (which will be in your stateroom on day 1) to pick them up.
I get off the boat as soon as possible and hop on the tram. As soon as you get off your going to see the shops make a left down a little pathway and go down to the first set of chairs they have hamocks there too all under palm trees! Grab chairs and you are then situated right next to the tube rentals and the snorkel rental shack :0) The family beach and snorkel lagoon are steps away as is the restroom, the stores, cookies, and the tram.

    Have Fun!!!!:yay:
