A Daily Dose of Disney Drama! 5/02/13 PG 53 THE END

Wow!!! Fantastic, amazing pictures from the party. I love your camera, too!!!

Thank you!

I love your shots with the princesses and princess, especially the one with Flynn and Rapunzel.

Thank you I was so excited to meet them!

The parade pictures are SPECTACULAR!!! So clear.

I know I was so excited when I saw them!

And the fireworks shots are more than just "ok"! Beautiful. And no witch hats.

I had to keep the camera above my head and what I got was what I got :rotfl:

I am always discouraged by the clueless jerks who really don't pay attention (or care) about others. Once, in the preshow for Muppets, a family with two small boys and a very tall dad came in late, said "I hope the kids can see" and then stepped right in front of my boys. :confused3 But they redeemed themselves by stopping right in the middle of the theatre when instructed to move all the way to the end. :furious:

Bummer about your first fight with your husband, although entirely understandable: Lots of excitement and exhaustion and worry in the past few days! I'm glad to hear the two of your worked it out at the end of the night.

Oh my gosh. Some people are just clueless.

Yeah it was a rough night but it had been a long weekend

:wave2: Can't wait to stop back to see your pictures!

I hope you like them!

Great pictures and TR as always Caitlin! I LOVE the 1st pic with you and Rapunzel and Flynn. She was very intent looking!
Don't worry about those Disney fights - we've been married 26 years and last year at Disney we had a biggie:confused3 Must be the stress of all those people;)

Thank you!
I know I love that pic!
Yep let's just say it's the other people :thumbsup2:crowded: Brazilian tour groups can lead to huge fights :rotfl2:

After we left the park we ended up getting lost again. This time our destination ended up being Celebration. Once we got turned around and back to our room Andrew and I were exhausted and angry. After an hour of heated discussion we made up and this time I got to cuddle with my husband before falling asleep :goodvibes

Oh brother. We have gotten lost a bunch of times, but never in Celebration. Yikes! But cuddling is good!

Love the pictures. They turned out perfect and the fact that the road is wet makes them look even better. Lovely fireworks! So glad you were my last stop for the day before I go to sleep!

Grandpa had a hard time reading the signs at night :rotfl:

Hi All! Sorry it's been so long between posts but life has been keeping us very busy! Sunday was Caitlin's final Sunday worshipping at our church (this coming Sunday morning is commencements) so as you can imagine it was a very emotional service for us. Caitlin has been raised in that church so it truly is her extended family. Then that afternoon we had her Going Away/Grad Party. It was themed to her beloved Detroit Tigers and it was a lot of fun. Many good memories were made :)
Today was her last day of finals and now on to Graduation! :cool1:
And of course we have our trip coming in just 11 days! :dance3:

But now back to Sept.....

I woke up around 6am to the sound of a text message coming through. It was my lovely daughter saying they were up and getting ready to meet me at Epcot for rope drop. I got up and saw that my dad was already awake. He told me he wasn't feeling well and he was going to spend the morning in the room. (can you believe another person :crazy2: on this trip?! It would turn out to be kidney stones that would plague him for months)

I got ready and headed to the bus stop about 8:30. I had good bus karma and was at Epcot in no time. I arrived just as Caitlin and Andrew did and was happy to see she was walking. (well she had to walk because the wheelchair had been left in the car..but still I thought she looked good)

However, she told me the walk from the bus stop had exhausted her so they needed to rent a wheelchair. So at rope drop the kids hit the wheelchair rental place (12$ in case you're curious) and I did the run to Soarin for Fastpasses.

I got the FP and then met them at Nemo.

From there we went to Figment and then over to

Of course Andrew had to ride that one solo. He was so excited when he came off that ride! He kept saying " Wow! I almost blacked out! That was awesome!"

While Andrew was on his mission to space we enjoyed the Jammitor's show

They were great!

When Andrew got back it was time for Soarin so we headed over there. While the kids went flying I went and got breakfast at Sunshine Seasons.

I ordered this for Caitlin

and I got this

It is actually the kids French toast meal but it was the perfect size and it was sooo good!

I somehow posted this without meaning too so I guess I will stop here. I will let Caitlin tell you about Andrew's visit to Club Cool and his first taste of Beverly...

Thanks for reading!

Awesome! Love this!

:cool1: Woo Hoo for 11 days. I know how much you must be looking forward to this trip and then again....not.

So exciting that Catilin is done school and will be graduating in a few days. So many life changes to celebrate. You'll be OK mom!

That kid's french toast looks yummy and it really does look like the perfect size.

You are exactly right!

It is all met with very mixed emotions. We raised her to have wings and of course we want her happiness more than anything but...we sure will miss her :worried:

That kid's french toast looks yummy and it really does look like the perfect size.

That was probably my favorite breakfast that vacation. I was very pleasantly surprised!

Sounds like a good morning.
Can't wait to hear the Beverly story!
Newbies are always so much fun!

Ooh, a Tigers themed going away/grad party...love it! :thumbsup2 Congrats to Caitlin on graduating! And yay for your trip being so soon!

:rotfl: "I almost blacked out." That is awesome. Though maybe it's even more reason for me to NOT try Mission:Space. :rotfl::rolleyes1

Nice update. I have never seen the Jammitors before.

Thanks. We had all baseball themed decorations and the menu was inspired by the offerings at the stadium.

:rotfl: "I almost blacked out." That is awesome. Though maybe it's even more reason for me to NOT try Mission:Space. :rotfl::rolleyes1

Yeah, I don't understand how that would be a good thing :rotfl:

Nice update. I have never seen the Jammitors before.

Thank you. The Jammitors are really good and a lot of fun. I just noticed you have your new TR started. I don't know how I missed that but I need to head over and get caught up! :)

Those MNSSHP parade pics were awesome! I've gone to the DL "Mickey's Halloween Party" a few times and the parade is great but the floats are nothing like the elaborate WDW floats (for example, the glowing POTC float looked really neat), plus there's no headless horseman. I also loved your costumes! I can't believe that multiple people remembered the "23-19" reference. Those pics of the Sunshine Seasons breakfast are making me SO hungry- I LOVE SS!

Also, have an absolutely wonderful trip in a few days! And happy graduation to Caitlin! pixiedust:

I could go for that breakfast right now!

Thank you!

We need to get this TR finished one week from tomorrow we are back in the World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we last left off we were in the middle of Andrew's whirl wind tour of Epcot. We were just about to leave the Land and head to Club Cool :thumbsup2

On our way we had to take a picture of the ridiculous line in to Mouse Gears! This was the 30th anniversary and everyone wanted the merchandise!

We finally got to Club Cool and after testing out a few sodas had to move on. For some reason Andrew didn't get to try the Beverly until he was outside of the area :confused3

Trying to decide if he likes it

Nope he doesn't! I think he actually took the entire cup as a shot because he put too much faith and trust into his wife :rotfl2:

We had to get some pics in front of the Food and Wine stuff

Then we had to take him to the Maelstrom.

This was another idiot encounter. The ride was just opening as we got in line. Well when we got in line one man decided to cut in front of us. Then he proceeded to tell the other four people he was with to cut in front of us as well. They all looked at me in the wheel chair and at first told him no but then ended up cutting.

After we got a mandatory pic

Then we rushed over to Canada so Andrew could get a quick taste of Food and Wine before he headed out.

He got the mushroom filet then we all had to run so he would be able to get back to the hotel and make his flight.

I kissed Andrew goodbye and said I would see him at the end of the month. He looked pretty sad and after mom gave him a hug and wished him a good flight we all headed to our hotel bus lines. I got a text from Andrew saying I miss you already and I turned to mom. "I miss him too but we have two days of Disney left!" Today I was feeling somewhat better but that wouldn't last all day....

When we got back to the hotel grandpa was supposed to meet us in the lobby of SSR but we couldn't find him. We walked up and down the entire lobby area and Artist Palette. We walked all around the pool area. If you remember he had left his cell phone in the car at the airport so there was no way of reaching him. We tried calling his wife and she hadn't heard from him. Mom decided to check with the front desk and see if they could call the room. They did and no answer. We got one of the luggage people to give us a ride over to the room. We had been searching for about half an hour and had an ADR to get to! When we got to the room he wasn't there. We saw the car though and walked over. Yep he had been waiting in the car :sad2: He knew he had to be out of the room by 11 and forgot to to go to the lobby. So now that drama of the day behind us we headed to Animal Kingdom.

When we got there we had to head right to our ADR.

We were eating at Tusker House! We had a bit of a wait though so I killed time by taking pictures :thumbsup2

Since I was feeling better I thought some alcohol was in order

One of my faves! A raspberry mixed pina colada! I used to always get the virgin ones but not anymore :thumbsup2

Now we don't have any pics from this meal. The alcohol did not sit well with me. I actually look very sick and half asleep in all of these pictures so they have been omitted to save the eyesight of you my dear reader and my face :thumbsup2

After we were done eating it was time for us to head on Safari!

For once I don't have too many pictures because I fell asleep on the Safari. Yes that's how sick I was feeling that I passed out on the ride that is not the smoothest ride in Disney World by a long shot!

Around this point I woke up and thought "This is the longest Safari ever!"

I took this picture and then took a play out of the lion's book and headed right back to sleep.

After my nap on the Safari we decided to head to see our favorite the gorillas!

When we went to the viewing area behind the glass there were a ton of people in front of it. Mom walked ahead trying to find us a spot and when she did called us over. Some man with his kid in a stroller stepped right in front her. It wasn't like he didn't hear her. Mom explained that she had called her daughter who was in a wheel chair over. The man sort of moved over but we didn't get a lot of room in the area and I remember sort of having to stand up to see.

After the trail we decided Grandpa needed to go on Dinosaur!

After the ride we headed into the gift shop near Hester and Chester's. There I finally found the Haunted Mansion tomb stone set I had been looking for! I picked up a couple other things to spend the $50 in order to get the Disney Chase Debit Card discount. Well I mentioned the discount and the CM rang me up without it. She then called over another CM to help her and they couldn't figure out how to do it. Then a third CM came over to help and she sort of figured it out but by this point the CMs were being a bit rude to us and no one had acknowledged us besides the first CM. Mom asked for the manager and once she showed up she was extremely rude. She acted like we had made the mistake and basically rolled her eyes when Mom tried to tell her the story. I was getting extremely frustrated because I didn't feel well and wanted to go back to our room and lay down. Finally after about 20 minutes they figured it out. On our way out we stopped by Guest Services to complain about our experience and the man we talked to was extremely apologetic. He was able to get us special viewing over at MK for the fireworks and was able to get us some fast passes.

After this was all over we headed to our next hotel the Beach Club! We would be staying Club Level here and we were so excited! Unfortunately the camera was left in the car! My bad! We loved being escorted inside by a CM then getting to go to the special floor :cloud9: After checking in we headed back to the room where I took a nap. When I woke up I was not feeling any better. My luggage had not arrived from All Star Movies so I called to check on it. It turns out instead of using my name at the time Andrew had added on my married name. So after getting that straightened out we headed to get the nightly offerings in the Club Level lounge. The appetizers were delicious and just what we needed! I especially loved the lemonade there! After eating we decided to talk a walk around outside since Illuminations would be starting soon. I unfortunately began having another hot flash and we had to head back inside. Instead of going to MK that night as we planned I spent the night shivering and sweating in bed.

Next up! End of the drama!

I'm behind,
I'm behind,
I, I, I, I'm
so behiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind*

*to the tune of "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees (ask your mom Caitlin)

Sunday was Caitlin's final Sunday worshipping at our church (this coming Sunday morning is commencements) so as you can imagine it was a very emotional service for us.

Aww.

I woke up around 6am to the sound of a text message coming through. It was my lovely daughter saying they were up and getting ready to meet me at Epcot for rope drop.

Just thougt of this. Was it a little strange not having Caitlin in the same room with you?

I got up and saw that my dad was already awake.

Not surprised.

He told me he wasn't feeling well and he was going to spend the morning in the room. (can you believe another person :crazy2: on this trip?! It would turn out to be kidney stones that would plague him for months)

ugh. Been there, done that, don't wanna do it again. He feeling better now?

So at rope drop the kids hit the wheelchair rental place (12$ in case you're curious) and I did the run to Soarin for Fastpasses.

As every good mom should. :thumbsup2

Of course Andrew had to ride that one solo. He was so excited when he came off that ride! He kept saying " Wow! I almost blacked out! That was awesome!"

:lmao:

When Andrew got back it was time for Soarin so we headed over there.

What did Andrew think of Soarin'? Especially after having been on (and enjoyed) Mission Space?

I ordered this for Caitlin

That looks so good. You can order breakfast for me anytime!

ummm.... that may not have come out right.

I somehow posted this without meaning too so I guess I will stop here. I will let Caitlin tell you about Andrew's visit to Club Cool and his first taste of Beverly...

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting! And look! No waiting for the Beverly post. woot! :goodvibes

We need to get this TR finished one week from tomorrow we are back in the World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And please, please, please.... less drama!!

On our way we had to take a picture of the ridiculous line in to Mouse Gears! This was the 30th anniversary and everyone wanted the merchandise!

Who knew you'd need a fastpass for Mouse Gears??

Nope he doesn't! I think he actually took the entire cup as a shot because he put too much faith and trust into his wife :rotfl2:

Ah. There's nothing quite so naïve as a new husband.

Trust me. I remember.

I'm not naïve anymore. Now I'm just confused.

We had to get some pics in front of the Food and Wine stuff

Food and Wine stuff? I love it when you talk all technical.

I think that's my favorite picture.

This was another idiot encounter. The ride was just opening as we got in line. Well when we got in line one man decided to cut in front of us. Then he proceeded to tell the other four people he was with to cut in front of us as well. They all looked at me in the wheel chair and at first told him no but then ended up cutting.

:sad2: Some people shouldn't have children.

Don't look now, but Caitlin's about to get the worst spanking she's ever had!

I kissed Andrew goodbye and said I would see him at the end of the month. He looked pretty sad and after mom gave him a hug and wished him a good flight we all headed to our hotel bus lines. I got a text from Andrew saying I miss you already

Awww.... Not quite the romantic Disneymoon you guys were expecting.

and I turned to mom. "I miss him too but we have two days of Disney left!"

But thanks for putting it all into proper perspective! :lmao:

We were eating at Tusker House! We had a bit of a wait though so I killed time by taking pictures :thumbsup2

Pictures? Really? How unlike you!

One of my faves! A raspberry mixed pina colada! I used to always get the virgin ones but not anymore :thumbsup2

Now that you're married,I could make a comment here.... but, no.

ahem

The alcohol did not sit well with me. I actually look very sick and half asleep in all of these pictures so they have been omitted to save the eyesight of you my dear reader and my face

I highly doubt that you could take a bad picture, Caitlin. You're too modest.

For once I don't have too many pictures because I fell asleep on the Safari. Yes that's how sick I was feeling that I passed out on the ride that is not the smoothest ride in Disney World by a long shot!

I fee really bad for you. Please tell me you're feeling okay now at least?

Around this point I woke up and thought "This is the longest Safari ever!"

I know you were sick, but... :lmao:

After the trail we decided Grandpa needed to go on Dinosaur!

What did he think of it? Was he startled?

After the ride we headed into the gift shop near Hester and Chester's. There I finally found the Haunted Mansion tomb stone set I had been looking for!

Score! :cool1:

On our way out we stopped by Guest Services to complain about our experience and the man we talked to was extremely apologetic. He was able to get us special viewing over at MK for the fireworks and was able to get us some fast passes.

Too bad you had to suffer through the rudeness, but at least one CM was willing to try and make things right.

We loved being escorted inside by a CM then getting to go to the special floor :cloud9:

Nice! :thumbsup2

It turns out instead of using my name at the time Andrew had added on my married name.

While it may have caused some stress.... didn't you feel a little warm and fuzzy that he used your maiden name? Was that the first time it was used?

I unfortunately began having another hot flash and we had to head back inside. Instead of going to MK that night as we planned I spent the night shivering and sweating in bed.

Oh, that's too bad.

Next up! End of the drama!

Thank goodness! I don't know how much more I can take!

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

I'm behind,
I'm behind,
I, I, I, I'm
so behiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind*

*to the tune of "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees (ask your mom Caitlin)

I have heard of'em that guy from Grease was in a movie with that theme song right? ;)

And please, please, please.... less drama!!

We wouldn't have stayed true to our TR name if the drama stopped on the almost last day!

Who knew you'd need a fastpass for Mouse Gears??

It was ridiculous!

Ah. There's nothing quite so naïve as a new husband.

Trust me. I remember.

I'm not naïve anymore. Now I'm just confused.

:rotfl2:Yeah I think he may have been a bit mad but the picture made it all worth it :thumbsup2

Food and Wine stuff? I love it when you talk all technical.

I think that's my favorite picture.

My mom said the same thing when she read the TR update :flower3:

:sad2: Some people shouldn't have children.

It got pretty frustrating at times!

Don't look now, but Caitlin's about to get the worst spanking she's ever had!

:lmao:

Awww.... Not quite the romantic Disneymoon you guys were expecting.

No but we had a nice time in New Orleans at the end of that month :thumbsup2

But thanks for putting it all into proper perspective! :lmao:

You can't be sad when there is Disney fun to be had!

Pictures? Really? How unlike you!

Now that you're married,I could make a comment here.... but, no.

ahem

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I highly doubt that you could take a bad picture, Caitlin. You're too modest.

I just have always had a hard time liking pictures of myself :confused3 These were pretty bad...

I fee really bad for you. Please tell me you're feeling okay now at least?

I am! Every once in a while I still get some pain but ever since I switched to a gluten free diet I have felt a lot better!

I know you were sick, but... :lmao:

Yeah I was a mess!

What did he think of it? Was he startled?

Compared to the other rides he had to endure I think this was a cake walk!

Score! :cool1:

Too bad you had to suffer through the rudeness, but at least one CM was willing to try and make things right.

It was nice. I wish we had been able to use the preferred seating he gave us!

Nice! :thumbsup2

While it may have caused some stress.... didn't you feel a little warm and fuzzy that he used your maiden name? Was that the first time it was used?

It was pretty cute. It actually was the first time that name was used but my official married name is actually my maiden name and married name hyphenated :)

Oh, that's too bad.

It was a rough night!

Thank goodness! I don't know how much more I can take!

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Thanks for reading!

Boy oh boy - you were really sick if you fell asleep on KS! I really hope you're feeling back to normal now.
