A Carnival Cruise.....With A Chicken?

So much beautiful wood work. I would love to go back just to get more pics. Even the flooring. I was made for the ocean. I was disappointed, there was a little snack shop, but I didnt get anything as it was close to there closing and not much to choose from. But when I walked around the corner I noticed pictures of the kitchen from it on the wall. It looked very interesting from back then. Well I remember when I asked the waiter from our dinner the day before to see the kitchen, I was going to do the same. But alas when I returned they were closed

So much for not getting a peek at that.

Here is a door way, didnt see to many of these..

Well we settled in for the night as tomorrow we get to leave our first docked hotel and get to move to the floating one. I got up early, and realized ...

MY SHIP IS IN!!

Dingle, Dang, computer froze!!!

I have no idea what time I woke up but, I sprang from the bed and took that lovely camera and strolled out on the deck.. ahhh there she was. She is the sister ship of the Sensation. Sensation was our first cruise.

Alright, I will be on her soon enough. Here are a few last pics on my way back to the room to start our day. Good...thing no one was out! Second time I ran out of my room with out doing anything... you know no shower or brushing my teeth.

The Deck, love the flooring

The so called famous pool, no picture inside as it was locked unless you paid for the tour. Maybe I can find a pic some where else.

Not sure where these doors led to..

Well its time to go get ready and start our day and get my COFFEE!!

Up next the journey begins on the moving ship!!!

Nice update Usnuz. The woodwork looks amazing and that story of Teddy Bear was lovely.

Thanks for sharing...looking forward to your ship.

Nice Update,
I'm looking forward to your reports from the moving boat! :thumbsup2

I love the picture of the pool. You are funny. Cannot wait to read more.

I was quite surprised that I didnt feel enclosed. We tried Daves when we were at a golf tournament in Arizona. Chris is a fan of Daves! Well we will be in Vegas earlier this year, so if you are around maybe you might get a chicken to visit. He has a journey ahead of him..:rolleyes1

I will be here for sure, except for possibly a few days between mid to late June. DH just started a new job, so I am not even sure we will take that Dl trip anymore. I'd love to see the chicken (and you too, I guess, lol).

I haven't been on the Queen Mary since I was a teenager, but I still remember how awesome the woodwork was. Great pics, but you were up way too early.

There is so much history on the ship. I wish I would have had more time.

I went on it in the 80's , but that was before it became a hotel. They only let you see so much at that time. The wood is awesome.

Its Bording Dayy!!!

Well after getting back to my room and getting myself together it was time to get my coffee. You dont see pictures of that as it really wasnt that exciting.

We came back to the room and grabbed our luggage. We checked out of our first beautiful home. Now, never have been here for a cruise before we werent sure where to take our luggage, and it was heavy we walked it over to the dome and they told us to go right back to the Queen Mary. YIKES!! So we go back and then we were told to walk the length of the ship , which is the original area where they checked everyone in. Well we were first in line. We argreed to meet Foxesden1 about 9:30 and we were right on time.

Excellent we got boarding zone 1 !!

The next to the first group on the ship outside of VIP and the Handicapped, which is understanable. Some people who had zone 2 tried to get on and were told no.

Nice view for the morning

Nice Limo

I had the Mongolian Wok, it was really good

398.jpg

By the time we finished lunch it was 1:30 and that meant our room was ready. We had three pieces of luggage we carried on, my two bags had a 12 pack of soda and a bottle of champagne. The other piece had my laptop and such oh yeah including my pack back. With carnival they allow one bottle of champagne and a up to a 12 pack of soda for your carryon per person.

Our room was clear to the AFT of the ship, we had an inside room. I usually get the Ocean View but it was cheaper for the inside and it was quite nice actually. We were on the Riviera deck.

The first ship we sailed on was her sister the Sensation, much smaller compared to the Glory.

The safe

Up next will be more pics from walking around the ship before sail away and dinner. I really need to go to the store. I have cabin fever. So stayed tuned!

Yay to almost first boarding. The desserts at that lunch look amazing. There was barely any food left on the Dream by the time we entered, but we were no where near first to board. Your room looks nice. I love that you took a picture of the safe.

Had it open almost all day, and now I've read it all. Excited to get out to sea.

Well as it turn out sail away was about 5:30, and our dinner was at 6 so we went back to the cabin to get ready for dinner.

We opened the door and this is what we saw.....

459.jpg

Here was Tom clinging to the bed in a life vest, did not want to go to dinner. I think he was a tad sick. Okay scared is more like it. So he decided to stay there and get room service.

So we bid him adue and we went to dinner. Now Carnival had just changed their menus, so we had no clue what there would be.

Food Porn!
