3 Years in the Making: Our return to WDW...with diapers! SAD NEWS 7/1 page 41

The photos from the jedi training academy are really cute! Someday that will be Seth and Everett up there! When that day does come, I don't know who will be more excited, my DH or Everett! :rotfl2:

So sorry that your nap plans didn't work, but I'm glad he finally passed out and got some rest. Looking forward to reading about MNSSHP!

Hi - whew! Just got caught up on your TR and can't wait to finish reading! Just found "you" this morning and loved reading every part of it! PS... I want Anna's arms! Seriously, that's awesome! Little Seth is so cute and has that little mischevious (sp?) spark too! Can't wait to read the rest... :thumbsup2

Seth is just too sweet in that last picture. Looks like a fun last day. Looking forward to the evening!

Now that I know about Ray's secret worship of Darth Vadar, I cannot wait until the day Seth can do the Jedi Academy! Can you just imagine how excited Ray will be???

A great morning at DHS. Yes life with a toddler never seems to go as planned. :lmao:

Great shots from Jedi Training Academy! I showed them to Henry in hopes to make him braver for October so he will fight Vader...we'll see! :goodvibes

I remember making similar plans with Henry at that age, and it seems like they nap when you either don't care, or don't want them to, but when you want them to...NOPE. :headache::rolleyes:

That sandwich does look rather large. I will have to keep that one in mind for sharing.

Seth is so cute smiling in the tub.

Glad he got a nap, even if it was a little late. Totally know what you mean, though - let all plans go when they are getting much needed sleep. ::yes::

Did you see the picture that was taken for him on our report?

It was yummy and hit the spot! Yeah, if we had woken him up from his nap we wouldn't have had a good night. He can barely make it past 9:00 as it is and I wanted to see as much as we could that night!

Yes, I saw it! Thanks for thinking of my little guy. I meant to comment on your report but obviously got distracted! Sorry about that. :guilty:

Love the Star Wars pics..when the Jedi Master has his hood on it looks like Woody Harrelson! :rotfl:
You're lucky your schools have off-breaks. Up here the kids only get Xmas week, a week in Feb and Easter week. If we went those times it would be a zoo!! Plus the kids don't get out until the last week of June. So we plan to pull the kids out of school one week per school year.

You're right, it does! I also saw that same guy in a recent video of a parade for Star Wars Weekends. Don't feel bad about pulling your kids out of school. My dad did it with us every single year. We always went on vacation in either October or May. And the rule was we had to make the B honor roll or we didn't get to go on vacation with the family...so we always made the honor roll!

Aw, we loved Steve Jobs too.

Ray fist pumping for Darth Vadar is hilarious!! :lmao:

Your cupcake looks HUGE and YUMMY!

Yeah, Ray loves him some Darth. And that cupcake was very yummy! Ray doesn't like red velvet so I couldn't share with him. That may or may not have been on purpose. :rolleyes1

For real! Ray will be so proud to see Seth up there. I may even see a tear or two! :lmao:

Hi and welcome!!! :goodvibes Glad to have you here. Yep, Anna has some guns. I'll pass your compliment along to her - she'll appreciate it. She's a personal trainer so it's her job to be in good shape, and she does a great job of it!

Seth is just too sweet in that last picture. Looks like a fun last day. Looking forward to the evening!

You know what that say....they are at their cutest when they're asleep. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I know, seriously. Ray will be SO proud to see him up there. I hope they still have it in a few years!

A great morning at DHS. Yes life with a toddler never seems to go as planned. :lmao:

Never!!! :teacher:

Thanks! Oh, I hope Henry was inspired to be a brave Jedi! Yep, scheduled nap times are a no-no....I learned that quickly!

Onward we go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!!! Hooray! :cool1:

After Seth woke up from his late nap, we all got ready and headed for the boat dock. Last time this trip I would take this beautiful walk.....

IMG_2593.jpg

IMG_2594.jpg

You can see Bay Lake Tower peeking through from the boat dock....

DSC00259.jpg

So pretty....

DSC00261.jpg

Okay, so about the costumes. Ray and I didn't dress up for the party....we're not huge costume people. I just don't like spending the money on it and when dealing with a little one it's one less thing for me to think about. I did want to do *something* for Seth, but I wanted to keep it simple. I didn't want a costume that would be cumbersome when it came to changing his diaper, and I didn't want him to be hot.

So here it is. Nothing huge but I thought it was cute. 10 points to the person who can tell me what he is! (I will reveal the answer in the next update.)

DSC00263.jpg

The first boat that came to the dock was heading to Fort Wilderness before it went to MK, so we opted to wait for another one. The next one was doing the same. By the time the third one came and we found out it too was heading to FW, we decided to just take it. I don't know where all the direct MK boats were that afternoon! :confused3

While we were waiting on the many boats, a woman approached me and introduced herself as Lisa (mickeyfan71), a fellow Diser! :goodvibes It was so nice to meet her - I believe they were just started their trip whereas we were ending ours. Lisa - I'm so glad you said hello! Once again, neither one of us thought to take a picture....duh! :rolleyes1

By the time we went to Fort Wilderness and loaded everyone up, the boat was VERY crowded! We decided to just stand up instead of getting a seat so we'd get off faster. Holy crowded boat, batman....

IMG_2595.jpg

Ray was worried the boat would sink, so he called dibs on the float....

Some pics of the Contemporary on the way over to MK....

DSC00265.jpg

DSC00266.jpg

We got to MK around 5:45, so not too terrible. A bit behind schedule but at least Seth had had a nap!

Flag was at half-mast in honor of Steve Jobs....

DSC00269.jpg

We'd be seeing some of these guys tonight!

DSC00270.jpg

I don't remember the route we took but apparently we went through Fantasyland....

DSC00272.jpg

....and then Adventureland??? That doesn't make sense but those are the order of my pictures. We may have rode some things in there, too. I know we were in Frontierland when the party started.

IMG_2597.jpg

Like I said, we were in Frontierland when the party started at 7:00. The line for the 7 Dwarves was INSANE. They were located near the bathrooms at Splash Mountain and it went all the way through the underpass where the playground is, up the steps and out towards Big Thunder. CRAZY!! No way was I waiting in that line. We did the candy trail in the area and then we got some shots of the ever-popular Dwarves....

DSC00283.jpg

I think for the most part we just sort of wandered around during the party and took in the atmosphere and the did the candy trails. About 30 minutes or so before the parade began, we decided to find a spot to claim, then I sent Ray over to Pecos Bills to get dinner and bring it back to us so we could eat while we waited for the parade to start. Here's my view from our area....

IMG_2598.jpg

Seth my little happy man....

IMG_2600.jpg

Ray got me a burger and he got some more chili cheese fries (he had had these before in the trip, so apparently they are pretty good!).....

After we ate I broke out the glow jewelry to keep Seth occupied while we waited. He LOVED it! I should have thought of this earlier in the trip. It kept him busy the entire time!

IMG_2607.jpg

We started talking to the families next to us while we waited. It was 2 families that were traveling together. It was their first time at the party and Ray told them I knew Disney like the back of my hand, so they were asking me lots of questions. Their kids loved Seth and kept playing with him. :goodvibes

Finally the Boo-To-You Parade was about to begin! Here comes the headless horseman....so cool!

DSC00303.jpg

I recorded the entire parade on Ray's phone, so here ya go! Photobucket will only hold 10 minutes of video, and it ran slightly over that, so it's in two parts. If you've never seen it (and even if you've seen it 100 times) I'd highly recommend watching it. It's an awesome parade! I can't decide if I like this or the Christmas Party parade better - both are outstanding!

Watch for Barbosa to come over after I yell at him - he pats Seth on the head and says "Good evening, Captain!" Seth loved the entire parade....except for the grave diggers! (Which is kind of funny b/c I think they're my favorite!) He didn't like it when they banged their shovels to the ground and he cried a little bit at that part, but he quickly got over it. He especially loved seeing Mickey and he LOVED the pirate ship! You can hear him laughing at it when it passes.

Here are the pictures Ray took. He had the super zoom lens on, which I think may have been a mistake. Some of the pictures are great but I think most of them needed a wider angle.

Love love love this parade!

Next update: HalloWishes, my absolute favorite memory of our trip....and the end!

So here it is. Nothing huge but I thought it was cute. 10 points to the person who can tell me what he is! (I will reveal the answer in the next update.)

I believe he's Christopher Robin's note, left for Pooh. Very clever (and most of important, easy) costume!

I don't think we're going to dress up for MNSSHP this year either. One year when we dressed up we were way too hot, and then the next year was freezing! We can't seem to win! :rotfl:

You guys got great seats for the parade, and it was really fun to watch your video! Can't wait for Sept when we get to see it again! :goodvibes

I loved the parade pictures. I can't wait until our trip in Sept. I already have my tickets.:goodvibes

Seth is such a cutie.

Pretty view fromt he Wilderness Lodge dock. I love the wooden walkway from the pool area to the dock.

We're doing MNSSHP again this year. Jill got our tickets a couple of weeks ago. :thumbsup2

Nice pictures of the ghosts. Good job, Ray!

I thought I was the only person who didn't like costumes. Glad to hear I'm not. That parade does look great. Makes me want to go back so badly!

Great updates and pics! I love the look of that Halloween parade too, I hope I get to see it someday, my plan is definitely to go in the Fall next trip.

I am not a huge parade person but I would love to see that one one day. I love the pictures of Seth with his glow jewelry. He looks like he's having a great time.

I was actually really nervous about coming up to y'all! :rotfl: But I'm glad I did! It was great to meet y'all! Seth is so cute! We had arrived about 2 hours before we saw you at the boat ramp so it made the start of our trip! :thumbsup2
