That was quick....how many sites/spaces in there?

4077 there are 44 total spaces in the 2100 loop so when done it will be a full hookup loop. I will hopefully get more pictures as it progresses.

When you ride the monorail back from TTC to Epcot you can see them lined up in the wood 'work area'.

Ah, back on the old runway. They've used that as a staging area several times over recent years for the DVC buildouts at GF, Contemp, and Poly.

Corgidad, thanks for the word that it's cleaned out. Looking forward to more pix.

So are they moving these to some place else in the Campground to make a complete cabin loop or are they doing something else with them? just curious honestly.

The company had a certain time when the job was to be complete so they moved all the cabins out and staged them so they could continue work on the rest of the project.

I rode my bike today into loop 1100 which is adjacent to loop 2100. I took a couple of pictures from a site in 1100 which is very close(24' approx) to the back of one of the site's in 2100. You can see that the old pavement which has remained under the cabins is in pretty rough shape and will need to be redone.

I also noticed the old anchor points which must be a requirement for this type of construction. When removing the cabins the contractor must have just cut the galvanized straps, freeing the cabins from the anchor points and will now have to pull the anchors from the ground.

In the picture that Corgidad posted you can see the other part of the galvanized straps still attached to the cabins.

Flea, the plan is to revert loop 2100 back to a camping loop.

1) The cabins are not being rented as often as campsites.
2) The Occupancy Rate is too low for Disney.
3) So, the land is being converted to campsites.
4) There is so much demand for sites, that WDW could rent them with VERY high Occupancy Rates.
5) Besides, not much maintenance or repairs for sites, and they don't need maids.

Just thinking out loud...I wonder if the additional 44 sites will compensate for the "throwaway" thing on any given day. I'm guessing it just might even out.

Disney could easily close that loop and prevent it all together with just a few simple rule changes such as not allowing any FP+ on days that you are not on a site, and if you cancel the site, you lose the FP attached to the reservation.

I can hope it helps, but being as it is full-hookup, thus meaning cheaper than the premiums, it might just open it up more. Have to wait and see.

Anybody else seen or heard anything new on the sites being cleared?
