So, I'm taking my DH to WDW for an "adults only" trip 9/2-9/8.

I was able to snag a 8:05am CRT on 9/3 -- our first day at MK.

I was super excited to get it because we were only about 30 days out (pure dumb luck!).. AND because it's a "before opening" ressie in MK, and DH hasn't been to WDW in 10+ years and doesn't really "get" the draw.... I thought: "what a better way than breakfast in the Castle, our FIRST full day!"

But now.. I'm wondering.. will we look like odd balls to all the other diners, and/or the characters, since we are two adults (who, quite frankly, don't have a desire to interact with characters.. it's a "bonus", but really, I know I'll want them to hurry on to spend time with the kids instead of us)...

so... what are your thoughts? will we be totally out of place at CRT?

No, you will not look odd in the least. They won't even notice you.

I've never been with kids at CRT, and we've never had anything but a great time - you can have as much or as little character interaction as you want. (I remember fondly the time that Belle and Mary Poppins actually got into a mock fight over me when I was dining as a single.)

As a bonus, there are only four tables for two in the restaurant, and three of the four are right next to the window, so there's a good chance you'll get a really nice view of Fantasyland while you eat.

DH and I have die CP and Tusker for breakfast and its just the two of us, noticed several other couples doing exactly the same thing. No one will even blink. Plus awesome empty park photos if your in early enough.

I LOVE 8:05am ressies at CRT before park opening! Walking down an empty (or at least a very uncrowded) Main Street is the best. We've had that opportunity many times over the years but unfortunately my DH and soon-to-be 16 YO DD don't want to do the princess breakfast anymore (fuddy duddies!).

The last time we ate there for breakfast it was me, DH, MIL and DD (14 at the time) and the princesses were great. DH was actually not feeling very well and Ariel told him he should "have some seaweed tea and then go see the Nurse Shark". HA! And then Sleeping Beauty said to him "Are you protecting these princesses from the dragons?". So cute! So, they are great with interacting with adults as well as children.

    Enjoy your breakfast! :)

My husband and I have been to CRT for breakfast and dinner without any children, it was great and I never felt out of place. This November we are taking our 4 grandchildren for breakfast at CRT and I am very excited to have them experience it. We also took a trip last May to Disneyland, just the two of us and we never feel odd without children. Don't worry, just enjoy it!!!

No that is wonderful. He still may not get your disneyness but he will enjoy you being happy right?

CRT favorite time for me is around sun set.
