DW and I Arrive Sunday march 20th for 5 night stay at BWV. We only have 3 park hopper passes each so we have 2 down days. 1st day we will be Up at 3:00am to catch 6:00am flight. Arrive at MCO at 9:15. Guessing 2 hours to get to BWV. Does being checked in by noon sound right? If room is ready we will order groceries and rest. If room is not ready we could rest at the pool. around 3 - 4 pm walk to Epcot. have dinner in Epcot. Make our way to the monoral around 6 - 7 pm and head over to MK for the extended late hours.
Close MK at 2:00 am , get to sleep at 3:00am.

Monday would be a no park day. sleep late then explore around BWV as this is our 1st stay there. Maybe hoop de doo then DTD in the evening.

One of the other park days will open DHS. take a break midday then spend the evening at epcot.

The 2nd down day may be a water park depending on the weather?

Thursday would be EMH at MK then park hop to whereever we want at the time..

My concern is to long a day on Sunday. My original plans were to NOT go to a park on Sunday. Settle in, explore BWV and do DTD on Sunday night. Would there be more activity at DTD on Sunday?
But then I noticed that MK is open till 2:00am on Sunday so mayby we should take advantage of te late hours????

Oh, arent these wonderful problems to have...

    Opinions appreciated..

I typically do not go to parks the first night, but we usually have more than a three day hopper.

12:00 seems about right to get to the resort. That sounds like the flight time I usually have and we get to POP at that time. Unfortunately it has been my experience that rooms are not ready until 3 or so. As a matter of fact... I would venture a guess you are from the Northeast flying out of Logan... Or the complete other direction... haha

I don't know about going to Mk until 2AM. I don't think I would have the energy to do that. But with only going in for 3 days I could make myself have the energy.

Seems like a lot of hanging around to me. While the resorts are great, most people go to WDW to visit the parks. There are great resorts all over the world, but only 1 WDW.

You can upgrade your tickets and 2 more days for just $13, or 3 more days for $17. You arrive so early on Sunday, I would make a trip into a park and just cruise around and take it easy. For just $4, why not?? For such a small price, if you only go to the parks for 3-4 hours, it is still worth it. You will have plenty of time to explore BWV and enjoy what is available there.

These tickets are the last 3 days of 10 day non expire tickets I bought last year. I think I would have to buy a 1 day ticket for full price?

Would be great if I'm wrong?

In general, when I go we do a shortish trip - 5 days or so and we have 3 day park hopper. We have a warm up day at DTD and spend the next few days at the park.

Initially I wanted to say that you should definitely do the warm up day on Sunday, but I have to say the EMH at MK are too good to resist.

I would suggest doing the park that day, maybe leisurely and then having your warm up/lazy day the next day.

I've done that go-go-go before and it took a toll on me for the rest of the trip.

Right, Sunday was GOING to be the warm up day but Sunday night is the only EMH of the week. We will probably get settled in, rest then head out to MK around 5 - 6...

That is the same exact flight that we take. It is always on time and gets us to the resort at a great time.

Sounds like the rest and attack method will work for you guys. :thumbsup2

HEY! We arrive on the 20th too! :thumbsup2 We are only going to have 3 day passes...no hopping. Because of when we're coming in...around 1 or 2 in the afternoon, we will use that day to rest and relax. So after checking in and then getting settled in our room, we'll head over to DTD for a few hours. We'll take Monday to visit AK (EMH day) and Tue and Wed to visit MK. (no EMH days, so we'll just do rope drop). We've never gone to the parks on our first day in Disney, no matter what time we've arrived. For us, spending it DTD requires less effort...no lines to wait in, well check out lines yes, but that's entirely different, no fastpasses to have to retrieve, etc, etc.
I would just take your Sunday as I'm doing mine....a rest/warm-up day. Save the parks for the next few days after you've had time to get rested up. :thumbsup2

Do you REALLY want to be up for 24 hours on the first day of your vacation? I vote for hanging around the resort.

Actually, you don't have to decide now. You could see how tired you are around 5:00 p.m. and decide then if you think you can make it until 2:00 a.m.
