Coronado Springs...Our New Favorite Resort

Just returned from our amazing 11 night / 10 day WDW trip and couldn't have been happier staying at Coronado Springs!!!

The magic began with a VERY late (3:15 AM) check in on December 23. Tired and cranky from a very long drive, we were immediately cheered by the beautiful holiday decorations and the friendliness, enthusiasm and helpfullness of the CM at check-in.

Due to the advice found here (thanks so much Buzz!) we requested and received Cabana 9B. The location was perfect!! Bus Stop #1, El Centro and the Pepper Market were all just a short stroll away. We loved the fact that CSR doesn't have to share bus service with any other resort AND that at Magic Kingdom, the CSR bus stop is the closest to the MK entrance.

The room itself was lovely with a plenty of room. Loved having a refrigerator and safe! Between the nice size table and refrigerator, it is perfect for quick and inexpensive meals in the room.

Having a business center available turned out to be a blessing as well as we unexpectedly needed to overnight something back home (accidently left with son's car keys!!) and it was handled with ease by a very friendly and helpful Business Center CM.

Concierge staff were amazing and found us a last minute Dining reservation even when the rude Disney Dining staff said nothing was available.

The Pepper Market has the best Food Court of any Disney Resort we've stayed and the Best Counter Service deal if you are using the Dining Plan. It really is true!! You can order a steak and baked potato from the Grill section in the Pepper Market and it only counts as 1 CS credit! Ours was very tasty!

Hint: If you are returning late from the parks and want to refill your mug but the PM is closed, you can have it filled at the bar right next door!

We were a little further from the Dig Site (main pool area) but it was still only a 3-5 minute walk had it been warm enough to swim, however, there is a smaller quiet pool closer by. My 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed the large, fun play area there too.

The grounds are just lovely and we were very close to the sandy "beach" areas with hammocks.

All in all, CSR is the perfect resort choice for us and we will definitely make it our home again whenever we come back to WDW!

Glad you had a great time! We also love Coronado Springs. It is, by far, our favorite moderate resort. It really almost seems more like a deluxe. In fact, we would pick CSR over most of the deluxe resorts as well - with the exception of the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Thank you for this wonderful report We have been interested in CS since seeing the pics on Allears while planning our last trip. We chose WL because DD was with us, but this time we are going to CS and are so looking forward to experiencing this resort. Your report just makes me more excited for our upcoming get-a-way.

NICE!!! my fiance & I ate dinner there & we love it. We've tried so hard to stayed there, but it's always something; it's full or to pricy for our budget. Hopefully one day.

I am so jealous. CSR looks so amazing. As we drove past it one day I nudged my husband and said "look at that resort" and even he was impressed (he is hard to impress). I wish we could stay there, but being a family of five we'd have to go with two rooms or a suite, and that's just not in our budget at this point. I so wish the other moderates would offer trundles like POR!

You're all very welcome! Glad I can be of some help! I also wanted to mention that CSR seems to be extremely well situated as travel times from CSR averaged around 10 minutes or less to any of the four parks.

If I could change one thing about CSR this would be it as well. We had to spend our last night at POR Riverside and while I didn't care for the resort at all (for several reasons...verrrrry long check in lines, incorrect information given by check in CM's, long walk to everywhere from our room, etc) it was great having that trundle for my granddaughter so that 5 could be somewhat comfortable sharing a room.

I don't know WHY Disney doesn't do this in all of the resorts.

We like it too. The deluxes are great, but when we can't get a good rate, it's CSR for us
