Good luck with the 2 thanksgiving dinners!!! I noticed the key with me is portion control, if i can control that, i'm doing really good!! The holidays are definedly hard, cause I can eat a whole pumpkin pie AND tub of cool whip myself!!! So definedly smaller pieces, lite cool whip, and smaller portions of the bad stuff. I'm making desserts for my family, always do, so I gotta not taste as i go along this year!!

My family usually requests that I bring a dessert too. I've learned to make diet friendly ones and shhhh, but no one ever knows the difference

so, how did everyone do over Thanksgiving? I did fine, watched my portions, even with the desserts. Since starting this diet in Nov, I'm down 8lbs!! I have a new short term goal of being down to 155 by the time DH comes home in 35 days. I have about 10 lbs to go. I've scoped out a longer walking course here in the neighborhood that is exactly a mile...I just gotta deal with the cold, and get out there and DO it!! I hope everyone is still doing good, just wanted to check in!!

I'm not really trying I've decided to wait until the new year. Of course my New Year's Resolution will be to lose weight. The good news is that I have always been successful with that resolution in the past. I just need the motivation.

2/1/09 151.6 lbs down 7 lbs, have not started exercising yet.

Jumping back in to this thread to keep me accountable.

Started 1/5/09. So far I am down 18 lbs as of today.

I have much farther to go but I am positive that I can continue eating healthy. I had some major challenges this weekend as we were traveling & I did not let eating out deter me from my goal. I stayed on WW's even at IHOP!

I will keep myself accountable too.

I have broken the 150 lb threshold and I have started a regular workout plan. I have no more cards to play so hopefully this huge effort pays off in spades

I am quoting myself here as a reminder to me how proud I was for losing this weight. I am now back on track & my official weigh in will be on Mondays. It is sad to say but I know I have gained at least 20 of these pounds back I am embarrassed & ashamed with myself for letting this happen. The other night a light finally went off in my head & I realized that I had to get control again. So here I am & I hope the rest of you will join in with me!
