I've been struggling with the diet this time around. I've been working on weight loss for 5 years now. I think I've become a little too comfortable with my weight fluctuating between 140 and 150 lbs which is still down about 50 pounds from where I started. I have noticed that I am getting heartburn again which is what happens when I gain. So yesterday I made some big changes. I cut way back on diet soda and am trying to get in my daily water. I also went back on my weight watcher's diet full force. So far so good. I am also limiting my computer time as I have let that take control of my life and I need to have more active time, even if it just means cleaning the house I'll weigh in next Tuesday as I don't really want to know what the scale says now

I have the same problem with my GERD/heartburn Deb....the 10lbs I have gained back well I guess it's only 8 now that I lost 2 of it back have made a huge difference. I hate having heartburn so why do I gain the stupid weight back????????? Because it's so easy to do.

Good job getting back on track.

We are all in this thing together.

I had to do a late weigh in due to injury: 2-13 at Dr.'s office weighed 153 (hopefully that is as accurate as the YMCA's Scale)
total loss so far 9lbs ..................21 more pounds Hope my neck is feeling better and i can start excersising again soon!

I really did work hard last week and am glad to see that it paid off.
It's been a real bummer this week though~ not being able to excersise!

First goal: to get back off the 10lbs I have gained back
Overall goal: to loose another 50lbs which would about put me at the goal that I think I can reasonably attain.
Plan: Weight Watchers meetings
Weigh in day:Thursday
Excercise: The Firm, Walk or Dance like a fool 3 or 4 times a week
Weight lost so far:As of 3/13/2008 5 LBS

I've lost 40lbs. so far and have 110 to go to reach my final goal. I am taking my first Disney trip in Sept. I've set a goal for myself to lose 40 more pounds by then. I'm averaging 13 lbs each month. I'll need lots of luck and prayers to keep that up. lol Now that it's warmer, I plan to get out and walk more each day.

It's good to see someone posting again. You are making great progress. You are making changes that you want to last a lifetime so take it slow and steady.

I've been trying to stay on track too. I'm down about 6 lbs. I still want to lose 5 more before our trip in 40 days It seems the closer the trip gets the stronger my resolve to shed the pounds gets

I think that I have come to the conclusion that I will never be lighter than 140 lbs. I'm ok with that. I guess my goal now is to get back to 140 and maintain. I do not want to regain any of the weight that I lost 4 years ago. I am so much more comfortable in my own skin now.
