Stateroom 2120?

Has anyone stayed in this particular room? We need to shift our reservations a week and all that seems to be left in this category are rooms right off the forward and aft elevator lobbies. 2120 is back at least a cabin or two. What are the solid barriers shown in the floor plans???? Passporter does not give this a very good room rating. So....just how noisy was it and why?

Excellent stateroom!!!!!!!!!!! 2108-2120, 2608-2620 are our absolute first choices when booking.....

Very quiet, convenient location close to aft elevators, the least used onboard....you'll find this location to be near many of the most used venues by walking up 1 or 2 flights, or a quick elevator ride up....we stayed in this stateroom 2x.......Passporter rating totally unfounded......

We stayed in 2114 on our very first cruise in November. I obsessed about EVERYTHING and one of the things I stressed about was this room being close to elevators, stairs and the Passporter mention. The room was absolutely perfect, though. One hop out of our room and there were the stairs and elevator. No traffic noise from the halls, elevators or stairs. We had a little racket pulling into port but we liked knowing something was going on and figured everybody was going to hear something like that.
Now, talk about worried--I rebooked for next November for a longed-for verandah and my only choice was 6556, it was given a ONE on the stateroom reports because of noise and was told to avoid it like the plague. Yikes!

Well for your good fortune, I found your thread and I can tell you first hand that room 2120 is absolutley great!

We went on the Nov. 12th Eastern this last November and had nothing but great things to say about our room!

Great access, no noise, very comfortable, and are rebooking in fact!

I, too, read what the Passporter and other room reports had to say and was a little bummed. Not anymore!

Go for it!
Have a great time on the MAGIC

We are booked in 2614 on the 2/5 Wonder and that is right across the hall. It sounds like it will be a great location. I am glad to hear it is not very noisy and with our two little ones being near the elevator will be nice.

DIS Nurse- I have booked 2120 also for April 29, '06- 7 night Magic. Did it have a steamer trunk?

We also stayed in 2120 on both our cruises. We loved it and didn't notice any noise. Sounds like a "2120" fan club.

We have stayed in 2120 on both the wonder and magic and thought it was so good we booked it for our Oct 06 cruise. It is quiet and close to the elevator that takes you to the kids pool, food, drink station, theater, etc. I highly recomend it. We hid a penny in the room last time we were on the ship. I am sure after the overhaul it is gone, but it will fun to see if it is still there.

Have fun!!!

Steamer trunk-
In the room there is a place to put your clothes (like a armoire), and it looks like a trunk. It's navy blue. On our previous cruise, we were in 6128, the "clock" was placed on it.
I was wondering if 2120 has one. It's where I put all my daughters clothes.

There are four places to put clothes. One is the desk, a small chest of drawers, closet, and the trunk. The trunk stands probably 4 1/2 feet tall or so and opens up like a door. If you go to Disney cruise website you can see exactly what the stateroom looks like. Go the the following link and you can see what 2120 looks like.

Copy and paste and it should work.

Buster478- Thank you! I loved having the trunk... It held so much! It's nice to know we have one.. and from what I have read.. we have the "bunk bed" that drops from the ceiling. My DD will love that!

Thanks to all....

That's funny that 2120 is getting such rave reviews. Last February we were in 2620. I was miserable. We heard such commotion at all hours of the night on port days. I had such a tough time getting to sleep. Is there really no noise to be heard on that side of the ship? The plank to board was right underneath 2620.

This year we will be 2562 and I'm hoping it might not be as bad. Any reviews for this cabin?
