Which disposable underwater camera? - The DIS Discussion Forums

We are planning on doing the Capt Nautica snorkeling trip and waverunners in St Maarten's. Any suggestions on what is the best underwater camera for the price that will take good pictures underwater. Do you need flash? Which one do you feel gives the best results?

You shouldn't need a flash most underwater disposable cameras have 800 speed film, their will be no need for a flash. You won't be getting deep enough in the water for their to not be enough light to need a flash. Unless you might be donning SCUBA equipment but that is a whole nother topic.

I hope this makes sense.

I only use the ones from Fuji and they've worked out well.

I used Fuji (it was cheaper than Kodak) and it worked fine for me. I've been told my my local photo shop that Fuji does better with blue & green tones and Kodak does better with yellow & red.

We have used the Fuji ones with terrific results! They do work best if it's a sunny day, but we had no complaints.
