There are tons of paper flower bouquets on the Cricut message boards. You would get tons of inspiration there. Good luck!

Yes, you can do this with paint cans! You can get empty paint cans in small and gallon size at places like home depot and lowes. Then decorate the outside with scrapbook paper & embellishments. Make something with your kids pictures, like an altered cd, and place those on dowel rods in the can. I'd use a piece of styrofoam in the can to hold them up. Then fill with paper shreds or something like that.

Hope that helps!
Good luck!

Congrats mmkk & latharia for finishing your Disney books! I've done almost 80 layouts, and I'm still not even half way done. So jealous!!

I haven't posted LOs here in a while, I'm so behind posting my LOs on the boards! I still need to post my MNSSHP LOs I finished about a month ago! I've been working on my MGM Studios LOs recently. I used the Cricut on all of these. If you want to know any other credits for these LOs, let me know!

Stitch Photopass-Since there aren't any Stitch embelishments out there, I made him using SCAL on the Cricut. It was harder to put him together than the cuts on the Disney carts, since those include outlines of where to put the color cuts, but it actually wasn't as hard as I thought. It just took a while since there were a lot of pieces. I cut him pretty big, at 7 1/2 inches, since I knew the smaller he was, the harder it would be! It was SO worth it when he was done though. He came out great, don't you think?

I also used SCAL to cut the title, using the "Dream of Me" font.

Indiana Jones-Months ago, a poster on the Cricut board posted Indiana Jones & Marion dolls she made using the Paper Dolls cart. I posted that I would be using her instructions (and thankfully, they were detailed!) to make my own Indy doll for this page. I don't think my Indy came out as cute as hers, though I still think he came out well. Especially since I only used one other embelishment on the LO, he really makes the layout! The title is made using the Adventure font in SCAL.

Tower of Terror-Used SCAL to cut the title for this page, too, using the "FrankenDork" font.

page 2:
http://heatherw.com/other/gallery/v/..._tot2.jpg.html

Streetmosphere-Title is from the Alphalicious cart, both the title & shadow were welded with the software. The "MGM October 26" on the 2nd page is the first thing I cut with SCAL that I actually used on a layout! It's Twentieth Century Poster font.

Snow White/Dopey Topiary-Title is Happily Ever After cart

Enjoy!!

Ok, I tried this again! Try clicking here. These are my mom's pages and her first attempts at scrapbooking. She said she would love to hear advice from the experts here as to how to improve on them!

What's to improve? Those are INCREDIBLE! If my first pages looked like that, I would never have to improve. Please tell her that they are amazing and at least one supposedly experienced scrapper will be scraplifting.

Thanks for sharing!

Here are two bouquet buckets that I made for my DD7 first grade teacher and my DS2 child care provider.

I mostly used the LOCKER TALK Cricut cartridge - Originally it was a cart that I thought I would have NO use for --- but I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

I also used the PAPER DOLL Cart.

Thanks for looking!

Awesome!

You are very creative!

I haven't gotten into the Cricut craze yet. How expensive is everything? You need the machine and all the cartridges, correct? What is the cost (approx.)?

My mom got the little cricut for $119 on Black Friday (what a buy!) --- Right now, they're about $150-$180---- the bigger one is $300 or more.

The Carts run $60-$90 each - you have to keep your eye open for the sales (Michaels and Hobby Lobby) - they have 50% off sales every once in awhile.

I stopped scrappin' entirely for a couple years - then I got my Cricut and the rest is history!! It's very addicting - I love it!

These projects, though, took me at least 3 straight days. I started on Saturday night and finished them on Monday night. I was really surprised how much paper I used!!!!

Tell your Mom she should be giving advice on scrapbooking, she's got it down pat! Great job!

Heather,
I love your Stitch! I saw the website that you I guess downloaded the clip art file from, but how did you get SCAL to break it up into the various colors? Is it in a file that way? I don't have SCAL and have been thinking of getting it. If it can cut other characters it just might push me off the fence . Don't tell my DH Thanks for the help.

Thanks!

Well, kind of. You have to download inkscape, but it's free! (or if you have Adobe Illustrator you can edit svg files that way.) You can pretty much cut ANYTHING out there, you just have to trace it in Inkscape. What's great about the site I got stitch from is that you don't have to trace anything, it's much easier. Just make sure you download the wmf version from that site. Then you import it into inkscape, and just pull it apart! Just drag all the pieces that are the same color so that they are together, so it's easy to line up on the mat when you go to cut it. So group all the light blue pieces together, then all the dark blue together, then all the red together, etc. Once you move all the pieces away, the black background is there to cut as well. I'm not too good at explaining things, lol, but it's not as complicated as I probably make it sound! You save it as an svg file, and in SCAL, just import the svg file.

And of course you can cut it any size you want, the only thing that restricts size is the size of your mat. I rotated stitch so that I could cut him at 7 1/2 inches.

I was on the fence for a while about this program. When I saw the discount posted here, I decided to go for it. I've already gotten my money's worth out of it (I have several carts that I haven't even used yet, or only used once, and spent $30-$50 each, so even if I only made the stitch LO, it would have been equal to that!) I've done several more LOs the last few days that I need to post, and I've used SCAL on those as well. I still use my carts, but I love being able to cut out any font on my computer. The other characters (and any shape/design/image/etc) is just icing on the cake.

They have tons of characters there, including non-Disney ones.
