Last pictures from May.......(pictures, sound link)

Here are the last of pictures from a trip back in late May. Thought I better get them up as I will soon have some new ones in a few weeks.

If you would like some sound...........

I always like this one, while just sitting around, waiting for Illuminations--click for sound

It was Monday, Memorial Day. I forgot it was the holiday (seems like everyday at WDW is a holiday) and had a little time to kill, so went down to Team Disney, across from DtD. I was going to inquire about CM careers for old reitired guys (who knows, maybe I will be there some day). Team Disney was closed for the holiday, but took a couple pictures.

After that, I headed back to the Swan, parked the car, and took a leisurely Friendshio ride over to Epcot, to take in some more of the Flower and Garden Festival. You can see the lighthouse at the Y&BC under wraps for refurbishing.

Flower and Garden is such a highlight of the Spring trips to WDW, always so pretty.

A slightly different viewpoint than the traditional outside shot of the English phone booths, this shot is taken from in one of them, looking out at the other. Just looking for variety, LOL.

The World Showcase Players bring smiles like the Streetmosphere folks over at MGM. They are a stitch.

Roger Rabbit keeps an eye on everyone crossing the International Gateway bridge.

I then headed back to the Swan, again on a Friendship, to freshen up a bit, before heading back yet one more time to Epcot, for a relaxing dinner at Rose & Crown, and Illuminations.

Maybe on some subsequent trip there, I will stop back at Team Disney and inquire. What do ya think??

When I got back to Rose & Crown, about 8 PM, they sat me under the canopy, right by the water (almost the same place Natalie and I were back in December last year, just back a bit and under the canopy). What a stroke of luck!!!! About 8:45, a HUGE (as in big) Florida thunderstorm, rain, wind, lightning, blew through and lasted about 30 minutes. The folks out in the open scattered for shelter, I was dry (a little wind-blown rain got me), Illuminations was postponed for a bit till it was over. While it was pouring, a really nice family, visiting from England, came and stood near my table. I asked them to sit down at the available seats and we had a great time getting to know each other, at Rose & Crown no less. Once Illuminations started, they stayed with me till it was over. It was a nice treat.

Here is the family from England that sat at my table. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

A last look back at World Showcase from the International Gateway area.

A cute Minnie glows in the window in the International Gateway shop.

And now back at the Swan, a look back at the Friendship that took me there.

Waking up the next day, the day I fly home (flight later that evening), I looked out the resort window to see another BIG Florida rainstorm.

But, as always, it cleared up, just like that.

I packed up my bags, headed out, to spend a few hours at Downtown Disney, always fun.

Now ready to head on to MCO, I said goodbye to the Main Mouse, knowing I would be back before the end of the year.

And now at MCO, I can again truly say that that Magic of Disney is still there.

great shots mr. murphy, especially the illuminations shots. i've never seen it from rose & crown, but will make sure to do so next trip.
just a heads up though, there's a seperate building justy for casting. it looks like a yellow and white argyle (sp?) pattern, and is down the street from team disney, closer to the marketplace bus stops.
