Recommendations for hotel by MCO

We are going to try staying by MCO this time and would like recommendations on where to stay. We travel at peak time (Spring Break) and would prefer not to pay $169 for one night.

Any suggestions for me to checkout? Thanks!

Stay on property at Disney.

It's cheaper and only about an hour from the port. Plus you can go to the park or Downtown Disney that night before.

A day without Mickey is.... what's the point?

Try the Embassy Suites near the airport. It's less than 5 minutes from the airport. They have a free shuttle that will take you to and from the airport and the hotel. The rooms are really nice and it was quiet considering how close to the airport it is. If you are taking a cruise line transfer, the shuttle will drop you off right at Disney's buses. I don't remember how much it was though, but it was cheaper than the Hyatt.

When we have arrived at night, we have stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott - standard hotel room - clean - not fancy, but breakfast included and free shuttle from airport. Could walk to Hertz to pick up rental car in morning.

We tried La Quinta Inns Airport North. Two miles from MCO. Nice, clean rooms, pool w/jacuzzi and continental breakfast included in the morning. All for $60/night. Liked it alot.

We stayed at the marriott, very close to the airport. we drove our rental car, but I think they have a shuttle.

I thought it was clean and comfortable. We got it on priceline and spent $35 for it.

We stayed at the Sheraton Suites. I think it was running for about $79 last time we were there. It had an airport shuttle and there were restaurants you could walk to from the hotel. And the rooms were great if you have kids with a separate living and bedroom.

As "rotary" mentioned, if it's not running too high, I'd use the Embassy Suites. You get a full, cooked-to-order breakfast and reception at night.
