Basic scrapbooking question

I bought a scrapbook that has 30 pages that are made out of plain white cardstock. Can I adhere colored cardstock to the white pages, or should I stick with using paper/stickers/etc. for embellishment on the white cardstock? I hope that I am making sense. Thanks!

You can adhere any colored paper or any embellishments that you want. Just make sure that they as well as your adhesive is acid free!

Thanks for responding! I only bought acid-free paper and glue, so no worries there. I just wasn't sure if it was OK to stick colored cardstock onto existing plain white cardstock.

I usually take out the white pages and insert my pages. I use colored cardstock or printed paper or whatever, but I very rarely use the white cardstock in there. i just save it to use later.

What do others do? Can you post please. Do you put your designer paper on top of the white cardstock...or do you take out the white cardstock and just put the designer paper in by itself with the pictures adhered to that? Is it too bulky with the white underneath and if using designer paper by itself, is it too flimsy? Have all my stuff and this is the last question I have before I get started.
Thanks!

I usually take out the whit too as it makes the album too bulky. My album is bulky enough without extra sheets!

The only time I keep the white paper in is if I use mulberry paper or some other kind of flimsy paper as a background (like vellum).

I use the creative memories (or Westrim) strap hinge albums. I put the paper on the white page.

I just completed my first book for my parents 50 wedding anniversay. I used the white + ivory sheets. I thought the other papers too flimsy. I even left the middle open on some of the ivory pages and left two sides with no papers because of the pictures and jolee stickers I was using.
