I'm really bummed...

My absolute favorite store in the world is going to be closing. It is a small rubberstamping store. In my neck of the woods, that only leaves "the big guys" like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. The big guys are OK in a pinch, but they certainly don't offer the personal service that this little store goes.

Of course, I will be at the closing sale, hopefully I won't be looking like a happy vulture going for the deals!

Sorry to hear about your favorite little store. I totally related to your last statement. My Local Scrap Store closed their doors on July 5th.
I really racked up on the sales offered, and no, you don't feel like a Happy Vulture! Especially if you were "a regular". The Happy vultures tend to be the ones who never stepped inside the store til they heard about the closing.

There really is nothing like that personalized service. And if you're anything like me, I'm a touchy, feely kinda person. I want things "demonstrated" I've been lucky to get very friendly with a gal at AC Moore who is quite savvy about stamping and embossing. So I guess I'll make my weekly mecca there.

Better start getting friendly with all your neighbors for their "Michael's coupons!"

I already do that! Especially when there is a 50% off!

That is so sad Especially since Michaels doesn't carry the type of stamps that a stamp store usually does. We don't have any local stamp stores here, but when I do get up to our not so local stamp store, they are alway up on the latest stamps, techniques, classes, etc.
