A friend (who doesn't scrapbook) said I needed to check out Downtown Disney, she thought she saw a store with tons of supplies.

Yep, it's called wonderful world of memories. You can take a look at some of their merchandise at www.laughingplace.com
You can click on the pictures on the right and it will take you to the store.

I wasn't aware of the name, but also wanted to mention, the store in DTD is connected to the Art of Disney store.

Yes, there is a store. However, I did find all the stuff in the parks and the hotel stores. Just not all in one place. The store isn't very big. I did buy a bunch of stuff there though... Here are some pictures I took of the place. There was probably only 5 racks of stuff plus two racks out in the aisle.
