well since today was the 75% off the old dollar spot stuff, figured I should go... (nothing very exciting except lint brushes and flip flops). anyhow the new stuff is out in leesburg va (but not in sterling). the document boxes are back but I'm not sure if they are as deep as they were last time (not that they were very deep last time but I could get my foam stamps into them). they are in different colours too, pink, purple, orange... may have to take one of my foam stamps with me and see if they fit. (of course, I don't actually need them... ) they also had really cute mini staplers with hot pink, purple, orange staples, paperclips that were too cute (I resisted these) giant push pins (great for poking the hole where you want to put your brad) and just generally cute stuff. maggie

i went to 2 targets looking for them...document boxes that is...still haven't found them in florida yet. but i am still on the hunt...it would be my luck that they come in when i am in cku and they all sell out!!!! i need more of those suckers!!!

Wow what a clever idea!

I cleaned out all of the sunburn kits and bug bite kits. They have been the handiest things this summer.

And it is about time they dollar spot went on sale!!!

We are getting a lot of sticker sets and magent sets.

I cleaned out all of the magic growing towels with clownfish, crabs, and seahorses on them, let's see... Got a couple of the bug bite kits, princess pens, princess body glimmer powder, car cleanup wipes (good for those unexpected bird plops!). I did come across 75% off melamine bowls and matching plates in summery colors with palm trees. I picked 4 of each up for my mom - I think they were .48 each. Oh - and lots of baby gift bags and cute cards for .25. They were just unpacking the new stuff so I gotta get back over there. I only found one of those document boxes last year so I need MORE!

Holy moley I did well. I got a ton of batteries (best buy, I think) hommade gift bags adn cards, glow int he dark stirrers, tons of princess stuff (frames, pens, picture frames, picture clips, hair bows, purses) bbq cook books, jiffy pop in the metal pan thingy, tape measures, cute tape measure key chains, car wash and wax and leather wipes for dh, wrenches, flip flops, ketchup and mustard candles, sand toys, table cloth clamps, and more! I spent $28 on $.25 stuff, what does that tell you? Oh and beef jerky. Plus I had a $10 gift card for transferring a prescription, so I spent $18 and got probably $50 worth of batteries and all the other stuff! It put me in a great mood. Like getting some other summer and 4th stuff 90% off the other day wasn't enough.

Wait a minute...I went to Target today and bought several things at the Dollar Spot and they all cost $1.00. What gives? Is the discount a regional thing that hasn't made it's way to New Jersey???

no the discount isn't a regional thing, but it's only the "old" stuff that was clearanced. So if you bought the cute new stuff (the cleaning stuff, the school supply stuff, the plastic storage stuff) that's all "new" stuff. the car stuff, the tools, the flip flops, batteries, princess and rock star stuff and anything summery is the old stuff. maggie
