Sad news here today.....(Dog lovers)

Yesterday we went out for a ride me and my 3 little boys, and at the pond behind my house, there were 4-5 police cars, no police just the cars parked kind of near the beach. I was curious and wondered but?? I went a little further and more Police cars, EMT"S ambulance. and then I was really confused, the Dog Officer. I know she does't work on Saturdays, and it had to be big to have her called in. We figured maybe a coyote attack. And then we awoke Easter Sunday to this...

On the front page of the paper....

An owner forever devoted to his Samoyeds..... Dies trying to save pup. The owner and breeder of Seaside Samoyeds was exercising 2 of his beloved dogs early yesterday morning. when the Puppy broke and ran for the Ice. The owner went onto the Ice after the dog. and fell in. The senior dog entered the Pond in an attempt to save his owner. The owner was pulled from the Ice unconcious, he was not under the ice as his beloved rocky was keeping him afloat. Both dogs survived.

This is So sad, he was a great guy we went to puppy School with he and rockys sister Adrienne. Its just so awful.

Disney Kim

Sorry I did fix it... He died trying to save them. They had to get teh Dog removed from the pond with the rescue boat because the owner was still holding onto him... Hypothermia/heart attack (from that) Is what It looks like.

Oh, that is so sad Poor guy. But you've got to hand it to the older dog tho......he was doing his best to save his master, just a shame it was ice, not just water. Still very sad tho.

That is very sad. Man trying to save his dog, and the other dog trying to save his owner, both risking their lives. Sounds like there was a lot of love for those animals that got returned in kind. It's a shame the man died.
