Am headed to the House of Mouse in a couple months. One of the things we are planning to do this trip is to spend a day at Busch Gardens. Anyone been there and have tips for a day there? The hubby is not a fan of roller coasters and other thrill rides ... although I will probably do a couple on my own.

Pack a collapsable duffle in your suitcase when you leave home. This will give you an extra bag to bring home all your Disney Loot! Especially if you have kids.

Whew! Just finished going through every page of this terrific thread. I like the idea of the over-the-door shoe organizer for keeping toiletry items organized and off the counter, but noticed that some people have had trouble with these actually fitting over the door. Here's a potential solution: use a hanging gift wrap organizer instead.

I bought one of these a couple of years ago from either Walmart or Dollar Tree (can't remember which) and I still haven't used the darn thing really. It's got two long skinny pockets (might be good for holding an umbrella, no?), some smaller shorter pockets, and one big, deep pocket in the center. But best of all, the way you hang it over the door is by sticking a coat hanger through the pre-cut opening in the top. So, if you use this and get one of the plastic hangers that has a hook that can swivel 360 degrees, you should be able to hang this over the door no problem.

We're planning on taking this with us when we go, so it'll finally get some use and we'll stay organized and clutter-free!

A tip I heard from a CM was to take a picture of your photopass card(s) so if you lose on you still have the number to upload when you get home.

We all got hats last time we went to Disney. When it was horribly hot in the early afternoon we would stop at one of the drink stands and ask for some ice. We'd put it in our hat and then the hat on our heads. It really cooled us down and we didn't mind getting a little wet because it felt so good.

We used some of the tips we had received before our first trip in December and they were perfect. One that was sort of mentioned in the begining was getting in the left line for rides but the tip given to us was when you get to the park go to the left because most people are right handed and they instinctivly(sp?) go to the right, for example at MK we went to frontier land first and made our way around backwards and let me tell you it was amazing, we had hardly anyone in the lines for rides by the time the crowds made it frontier land we were in fantasyland and it was the same way, no lines or crowds!!!Also had a multi zipper fannypack, was best thing I ever bought.Ziplock bags as already mentioned,Copies of back of tix, ponchos, and getting to parks for rope drop.was able to take afternoons off to relax and that was heavenly, and most important, walk, walk, walk, ahead of time to get used to it,it is a huge reality check for someone to walk that much and trust me when I say your feet will love you for it!!!!!

Definitely. But don't forget scissors to cut it. I have found that moustach scissors work great. They are small, easy to carry and sharp enough to cut the moleskin.

I was a member on the DISboards for a bit under another name, and I loved all the tips I read on here for my most recent trip in May of '09.

Arriving at rope drop- I wasn't even tired because I was so excited about being in a nearly empty park! Definitely worth getting up early for.

ADRs-Might seem obvious, but other people I have talked to who are not familiar with Disney thought we were nuts for making our reservations so far in advanced.

Across the body bags- So much more comfy than your regular handbag.

Fastpasses- Definitely get familiar with how this system works and use it!

Post-its

For putting over the sensors on the auto flush toilets...
Some children (and adults) are frightened by the toilets flushing.. they are sooooo loud and powerful... sooo this keeps the toilet from flushing until you want it to.... Usually I wait until my little guy is done and on his way out of the door before I remove the post-it...

just remember to take them off when you are done

GREAT tip!!! I'm not afraid of them. I just hate it when they flush before I'm done and (sorry so graphic) I get splashed. Eeeewwww!!!!
