How about another day at WDW??? (Pictures/sound)

Click to play, html does not work, minimze media player...

http://www.dmurphydis2.com/Music/oholynight.wav

Getting back to a few (okay, a lot) of pictures from WDW. These are
from my first full day there, having arrived the day before around noon. I
stopped back to Downtown Disney for a bit of shopping, headed over to MGM for a
time, and then over to Epcot for a Candlelight Processional/dinner with a DIS
couple for the evening.

Christmas was everywhere you looked at Downtown Disney....

And wouldn't you know it, I run into Elisabeth (ead79) and her hubby, Colin,
who I would be seeing in the evening for CP and dinner, and probably
Illuminations. I thought it would be neat to get their picture by
Cinderella, Elisabeth had her in her DIS signature for so many years here on the
DIS. A super nice couple they are.

Who is up for a bit of Tinker Toys??

A quick stop back to home base to drop off some packages, get a few bottles
of water and head for MGM for a late morning, early afternoon.

Ahhhh, a nice view through the windshield of the Friendship as it approaches.

And not crowded at all, rarely is this time of the year.

Looking forward to seeing the Osbornes another evening.

I thought  I would ask one of the photographers if he would like his
picture taken, as he takes everybody's all day long.

And the Streetmosphere folks, here on Hollywood Boulevard, what can I say
about them, they are absolutely the best, I so enjoy their antics, their
discourse, just everything about them, LOL.

They always talk with the folks on the sidelines, getting them into the
spirit.

Neat, isn't it??

A pose please!!!!

And another group of Streetmosphere folks, here on Sunset.

They had this poor woman going nuts.

She was splitting a gut, along with everybody watching.

And then those Public Works guys are about as funny as they come.

Gertie is keeping an eye on things from over there. I like the floating
Christmas flowers in Echo lake.

Time to head out, off to the next destination for the day. I did
stop too.

This CM got a kick out of it when I asked if I could take her picture, she
was lonely out there in front of The Studios, very little traffic. Always
enjoy making those CM's enjoy as much as they help me enjoy.

And this CM was quite proud I asked to take his picture.

Heading back to the Swan now to freshen up a bit for the evening.

The gingerbread village at the Swan is very neat.

And my mousekeeping lady that day was just starting to freshen the room, so I
went down to the lobby to read the paper for about 30 minutes. But not
before a picture, and another smile.

Come on, let's head over to Epcot, via the Boardwalk...............

We're here.........

Pere Noel tells us about the Christmas traditions in France.

At Morocco, a moment to take a few shots across World Showcase Lagoon.

And then to the American Adventure, just in time for the Flag
ceremony. It was quite moving.

When all the kids got up there to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, I
really had a lump in my throat, a tear in my eye. It really is wonderful
to see that.

As the Flag ceremony was concluding, Elisabeth and Colin walked up and we
went over the American Gardens Theater for the Candlelight Processional.
What a wonderful show. If you have never seen it, do try and take it in.

I often think the CM who signs is so much of the show, she is great, so
dramatic in her motions.

Broadway star, Heather Headley, was the reader this evening.

It is magical.

After the show, we headed over to the Nine Dragons in China for
dinner. None of us had been there before. We commented about the
oftentimes bad reviews it receives and were wondering if the new chef and
management would make a good showing. We all agreed it was great, worth a
return visit some time.

Strange, as I go through these pictures, I have none of Elisabeth and
Colin. I think we were all too busy talking to take any, LOL.

After dinner, a stroll back towards American Adventure, just to walk off
dinner a bit. Here is the huge gingerbread house that serves as a walkup
cookies and hot chocolate stop.

And a smiling CM inside.

We watched Illuminations from over by Norway, and again, no pictures of
this tonight. I just wanted to soak in the spectacle. It was
stunning, with a Christmas add-on of about 5 minutes, with Walter Cronkite
narrating Let There Be Peace On Earth, along with about an additional 800 shells, the finale of which shook the earth. I have never heard anything
like it.

Once over, Elisabeth and Colin said their goodnights and headed back to
their resort out the front exit of Epcot. I had a LONG trek back to the
Swan, seen here with the Dolphin WAY off in the distance. I was tired.

But enjoyed taking a few peaceful shots along the way.

I missed the last Friendship so had to walk the full distance. And I
was tired. Oh, how tired I was.

I decided to walk the Yacht & Beach Club route rather than the
Boardwalk route. A shot of the BW from over on the Y&BC side.

And finally, home sweet home.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, good night!!!
