Beavertails are gone!! - Say it ain't so!

This was reported on mouseplanet.com this morning:

Apparently due to a problem with the supplier, Trapper Bob's at Epcot's Canada pavilion no longer sells beaver tails. The location now features Canadian wines and beers.

That's a sad way to start out a Monday morinig

Unfortunately, it's true. It was very sad walking past the stand in December.

I know they arent the same thing, but if your sweet tooth kicks in while in Epcot, you might want to try the Funnel Cakes in America, if you havent already. I used to be a die hard fan of Beavertails, then I found the Funnel Cakes and thought they were just as good, if not better.
I will miss the Beavertails though.

Last year my personal one and only goal was to get a beavertail. Well, we got to Epcot and the beavertail stand was closed. I nearly had a nervous breakdown. It wasn't pretty. So, as I planned our upcoming trip my DH and DD and even DM teased me about the beavertails. I found out about amonth ago that I would be denied again. I have been wearing black since then.

Any other "must have" snack? We all need something to look forward to...

Oh poo. I'd never had a Beaver Tail and wanted to try one. Oh well...

Does anyone know if the Ringnes beer is back in Norway or is that yet another thing I have to continue to live without?

It just won't be the same walking around World Showcase without a Beaver Tail in hand.

The last time I had the beavertails they weren 't as good as I remembered from previous trips. I don't know if that makes you feel any better.

IMHO, the Beavertails were simply not a big deal and, frankly, not that special. I won't miss them, though I know a lot of people will.

I believe I had heard a while ago they started baking them as opposed to frying them the way they used to.

I can totally relate, luvsTink! I was so sad to hear the news as I never got to try a beavertail and I guess I never will...

You made smile about it though,
