Budget Buster - I just added $60 to my trip budget.

I'm so I went over to Sea World.com so I could grab the pre-tax ticket price to have as a reference on my trip budget. To my surprise Sea World and Univeral both have increased their ticket prices to $59.75 for a single day. This in turn has increased by trip's total by more than $60 for three people!

You can buy e-tickets that you print at home and redeem at the gate. Sea World doesn't charge, but Universal charges $2.

As much as we would like to see these three parks, I think we're going to have to give them up. Disney's MYW tickets are more reasonably priced (relatively speaking) at less than $50 per park for the 4-day base tickets I plan to buy. I could even add the PH to the MYW and still do better for four parks than the other three.

Sorry to hear about your budget bust...

I suggest you might look at Mousesavers.com website under Non-disney parks.

There are some good discounts listed for Sea World and Universal.

(like Southwest RR members can get 20% off admission at SW with their card, even if you don't fly them you can still apply and get a card.)

P.S. If you look around that website, you may find other ways to scale back the budget, too.

If you have thrill riders in the family, I would go to Universal. We went once a few years ago and will probably go again when my youngest is a bit older. It's not Disney, but it is fun.
On the other hand if you have ever been to Sea World before, I would skip it. Sea World just doesn't change enough for our family. We've been several times when each of our children was young and have all vowed that we will not return because it's always the same. The rides at Sea World get to crowded for us since there are so few.

You may want to check this website out, it has lots of ticket options, they have a flex ticket available for those parks.

Here is a link: http://www.discount-tickets.us/tickets.htm

We've never been to either of those parks b/c I felt like our admission was already paid at Disney (APs for two or three trips). That being said, I wouldn't even consider buying tickets for them this early b/c, unlike Disney, they do sometimes offer incredible specials. Last year, you could get five days at Universal for less than $100.

They (Universal) do still have the 5 for 2 tickets, but I have no intentions of being in their parks more than two days, but thanks for the suggestion TarHeel. Thanks for the ticket link MCazer. I'll have to take a look at it later, when I'm not at work. ')
