How to book trip???

I know this website is sponsored by DIS, but how did you book your trip? Do you go through DIS, local travel agent, all on your own? Is there a "best" way to book for Disney? I feel like such a novice with all of this "stuff".

Dreams Unlimited is one of the Disney "specialists" and I believe they are a sponsor of these boards. This year we used WDWVacations.com that I found on mousesaver.com. They are another "specialist" who understands the many ways to get Disney discounts. In the past we have normally booked through Disney direct but it gets so confusing trying to figure out the codes and assorted discounts that I let WDWVacations do it for us. They started us out with a AAA (small) discount. Later two deals came up and they changed our resevations twice to save us around $800.00. They even made our priority seatings for us. Saves a lot of time, phone calls, and hassles to let one of these Disney "specialists" do the work for you. Best thing is that there is NO CHARGE!!!!! They get a commission from Disney so everyone wins.
I do not suggest a "regular" travel agents since they may or may not know much about Disney. Also, it may get tricky to change anything through a "regular" agent if any discounts come out before you leave for WDW.
These Disney "specialists" are constantly looking for codes and specials to save money for their clients. Just sit back and let them do the work knowing that you will get the best deal possible.

how to book trip

Leaving on 12/29. Fifth trip to WDW, but first time staying on site. I booked with mouseearvacations.com and so far I have been really happy with the prompt response and service I have received from them.

Thumbs up

I have used **********************.com a few times and am very happy with them - they applied a discount for me automatically and saved me $390 on one of my trips.

Try www.grandgetawaystravel.com - they have been really great and I was never a fan of using a TA but Grand Getaways has definitely changed my mind.

Just for the fact that they sponsor this board and make all this information available to all of us, I would use Dreams Unlimited. They have been in the business a long time and have a proven track record.
