Condition of the Caribbean Beach resort - The DIS Discussion Forums

After much thought and discussion today, my husband and I have decided to stay at the Caribbean once again. We had previously had reservations for the Pop. Now with the new rate codes, we have the oportunity to upgrade. We don't however wish to spend a lot more money, so we are sticking with the Moderates. I loved the CBR when we were there in 2000. My huband seems to think that the resort needed updating at the time we were there.
Has there been any updating of rooms lately? What is your opinion of the resort and rooms?

We just went last August and thought it was nice.

Yes, it has been renovated since 2000; and it is absolutely beautiful. It it (as you can see) our absolute favorite. Have fun!!!

Hi,

Was just there in May and it was prefect! Very clean and beautiful, rooms were very nice, grounds VERY well kept, loved it

Thank you, thank you...just what I wanted to hear. I just finished reading reviews from Trip Advisor and they were not favorable. Oh well! I think we will be happy.

I just hope that my TA is able to get us reservations for the night we need CBR.

We were there the end of may and they were doing a bit of planting and upkeep on the island. Powersashing and painting bridges and playgrounds. Looking good.

The resort went through a refurbishment at the end of 2002. It is in great condition.

safetymom = I tried to weed through your CBR thread and it is very informative. I guess I skipped the refurbishment post.

mickeymule I want to keep going to Disney until it is too many times to go to Disney...Are there to many times to go to Disney? I will let you know if I get there.
