Which resort for 12yr old? best pool? Vistana Villages/Caribe Royale/HGVC? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Now it seems the HGVC and Caribe Royale are both cool places to stay, but which do you think my son (12) would have most fun at? THank you for any replies!!!!!!

Caribe Royale has a pool slide. HGVC does not, though there are nice pool areas, a mini-theater and lawn croquet. The pool slide would win with our kids.

I stayed at the Caribe Royale in a 1 BR suite in April of this year. I was not impressed at all. There was a slide at the pool but I did not like the room at all. It was very dark inside and the pictures on the computer looked much better than it actually was. People in business suits were everywhere, including the pool and on 2 different days, mine and my friends kids were the only ones in the pool. I would not recommend this place at all. Mary from www.mousesavers.com stayed recently at the Hotel royal Plaza and loved it! Check out her site and pictures and reviews of this place. I was impressed and Mary definitly knows her stuff.
