Should I go to POFQ or POR with toddler

Looking to go to Orlando next May for the first time and looking for advice on whether to choose POFQ or POR with a 4.5 year old. We will be having some quiet time to break up the holiday, so which resort would be best overall.

Just polled my wife and my 16 year old daughter who both immediately and strongly pulled for POFQ. Why??? The dragon slide was hit with my kids. The 16 year old was 4 YOA when she first visited POFQ and she remembers that being a big thing to her. She also relates that the whole resort has a small laid back feel that fits well with a family who has young children. Not stuffy or ornate yet very nice, well themed and just plain cool. We have been to POFQ and POR with POFQ being the hands down favorite. This feeling is for many reasons but it certainly has to do with many of those initial memories from when my youngest was 4 and oldest was 7.

Where as I'd say the exact opposite. POR, hands down.

Better pool IMO, also a great slide there, but with more kiddie/family area. Quiet pools as well, if there is too much going on at the big pool for the little one/you.

And we like the theming and the grounds much more at POR than POFQ.

While the last rounds of discounts didn't include POR, usually POR qualifies, while POFQ does not.

You might even be able to get a royal room (if that's your thing) at POR for cheaper than a room at POFQ.

I would recommend POFQ, all else being equal. The pool and play area are great for younger children and the compact nature of the resort is easier for little legs.

However it is true that sometimes POR has discounts that POFQ does not. So that may influence your decision.

I'd have to put my vote in for POFQ as well

We've stayed at both, and loved FQ so much more. Everything was a 1-2 minute walk away (which was so great when you forget something in the room!), and we loved having just the one bus stop. The food court was great and the theming is much more colourful (so more kid-like) than POR. We found it had just a touch more Disney "whimsy" than POR. POR was beautiful, but more sedate and grown-up. Just IMHO

POFQ. It's smaller and the pool is super cute for little kids.
