pool slide restrictions?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to decide between staying at CBR and CSR. The main pool area at CBR looks wonderful for the kids, but the room and bed size concerns me a little.
I've read that CSR is also a great resort with queen size beds and the rooms a somewhat larger.
Can anyone tell me if there are any height or age restrictions for the slide at CSR. Our grandson will be close to 6 years old. Thanks so much for your responses.

Mae

I do not believe so, I've seen some pretty young children going down the slide. The restriction is they must be able to go alone, no riding with another person. You can "hang around" in the pool a safe distance from end of slide if you are concerned about his swimming away from the end.

I really DO want to live there!
I circulate my paper clips at work so they all get used or I feel like they'd be sad if they didn't get a "turn".

Agree with what the PP said.... we saw even really little kids go. Also, there are life jackets available if you want. (At least there were at CSR) The CSR slide is the longest resort slide. It's great!! (The queen beds are also very comfy!!) The pool is really awesome.

Just so you know - it's actually CBR where the rooms are a little bigger than the other moderates. Also CBR is undergoing a refurb and will now have queen beds.

As the pp said, CBR has the slightly larger rooms of the mods. We've never stayed at CSR, but we loved CBR. Our boys were 7 & 9 during that stay and they loved the pool as it has a fun pirate theme. Plus, our youngest was a little on the small side growing up and he didn't have any trouble using the slide, so I'm sure your grandson will be fine. Also, as has been mentioned, CBR is currently undergoing a refurb with the double beds being replaced with queens. Here is a link to the CBR FAQ with a few links to pics of a new rooms:

Thanks for the replies to my post. This is going to be a tough decision for me. CBR or CSR? Both sound great.

You're welcome. Good luck with your decision, although I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose .

When is your trip? CBR renovation just started not long ago and is not expected to be complete until the end of May 2015. Travel dates will change your odds of getting a newly renovated room.

CBR! Very family friendly, lots of playgrounds, beaches and pools. Plus spacious rooms and queen beds

I can't wait until the renovations are complete at CBR so that bed size is no longer a factor it the "which mod" question.

Queen beds in all rooms after the renovation is complete next May. But right now anyone booking is not guaranteed a new room with new beds. So if that is important to you, it's not to everyone, then it's important to know before you book.
