Decisions, Decisions....

We were trying to resist, but we are contemplating a move from the Wilderness Lodge to the Boardwalk Inn because of the pool issues. Never stayed at either resort so its not like we'll really be missing anything. The cost will be a bit cheaper and we would have a pool. I don't have a problem with going to the other resorts to swim, but we like to swim late in evening and having to do that is a bit inconvenient. What do you all think? Yay or nay? Thanks!

The only reason I would choose WL over BW is for holiday decorations. The Epcot resorts are my favorite location...by a lot. Even if it were holiday time, given the WL pool situation, I would absolutely change. Just my opinion though.

I've never stayed at either but I would choose BW over WL for the same reasons as Patty.

Thanks! This is our first trip in November (11-17). Not sure how hot it is, but we did plan a day just to relax and swim. Kinda hard to do that without a pool, lol!

Hmmm..... walking in to epcot, boat to DHS, cheaper money and a pool and boardwalk and tons of options for eating
VS.
boat to mk, more money, no main pool, not much of a quick service food option.

Vote for BW! Beautiful lit up at night too.

Thank you, that makes the decision a no brainer no doesn't it? We have always wanted to stay at the WL, but the pool announcement came out AFTER free dining and after we booked. It will be there another time I suppose.

The WL does have another pool, perfect for late night swims, there is a hot tub right there as well
We Like the BWI but Love the WL, I would stay put

Yes, people have said that, but I also read that it is small and not going to accommodate the masses. Is this true?

Wait! but are you giving up free dining? Because that would complicate things a bit? Or have you figured that in your pricing?

Yes, it's very small. Of course, I think the main WL pool is too small. BW pool is amazing but the clown face on slide may give you nightmares. We really love the boardwalk area. Lots of stuff to do and the walk to Epcot is so easy.

BW!

We are trying BWI for the first time, but loved staying in the EPCOT area.

We walked over to BW one night and really enjoyed the magic shows and street entertainment. We enjoyed the brewery and hanging around.

It was really nice to be able to walk to EPCOT and the boat to DS. Not having to deal with the post Illuminations crowd buses/monorail was fantastic.

DH really likes staying at the EPCOT resorts as there are so many dining and entertainment options with in walking distance. As we spend more time at the resorts, having options is important to us. We really liked AKL but it felt isolated and there are no other resorts near by.

No, not giving up free dining. The pricing was a bit cheaper with the free dining promotion. I would suck it up if I had to give up free dining.

We have gone to dinner at WL before and I too have always thought the main pool was small for the amount of people that stay there.

Boardwalk is really a great resort. The dining options among the resorts, including Swan & Dolphin, and walking to Epcot for drinks & snacks is fantastic.
I like the clown pool. My 22 year old son still has a stuffed animal he won at one of the Boardwalk games.
