Le Cellier - New Menu?

Has anyone tried the updated menu at Le Cellier? I used to skip this restaurant - it used to be a favorite - because I had to make so many alterations to several of the offerings. (I'm anti-mushrooms and truffles. What can I say?!?) But, many of the new options sound pretty darn yummy. I'd love to hear some feedback before booking an ADR. Thanks!

My boyfriend and I had lunch at Le Cellier on Monday, June 9, 2014.
I had:
Seared Scallops
NY Strip (rare)
Caramel Milk Chocolate Bar

He had:
Cheese Assortment
NY Strip (medium well)
Maple Crème Brulee

We shared a side of Poutine

Everything was great except my NY Strip was cooked well done and not even close to rare but I said nothing to our server, Alyshia, who did a great job other than not asking me if my steak was cooked to my satisfaction when she served it as I've experienced them do at most "steakhouses". With several cocktails each and taxes and tip our bill was close to $300. One of our most expensive meals of the week. If my steak had been rare I would have said it was pretty much worth it. We would definitely go back to Le Cellier. It was our first time back since 2004.

Just curious, why did you not send the steak back? Or was it still edible?

1) GOOD FOR YOU.
2) Too many people just take what is given.
3) Even when items may not be prepared to order, or are low in quality.
. . . I demand a med-rare steak
. . . in fact, "Pittsburgh" style - almost charred outside and med-rare inside *
. . . to my taste, anything more heat reduces the steak taste and properties
4) However, your server should have verified that the steak was med-rare.
5) Especially at a Signature eatery.

* As most people know, searing the outside does nothing to seal in
moisture/juices, but it really makes the exterior tasty.

I guess I just didn't want to make a fuss or "eat in shifts" as my boyfriend's steak was exactly as he likes it. It was edible and tasty but I prefer my steak as rare as they're willing to cook it. At Yachtsman and Shula's they ALWAYS ask me to cut into the steak first to see if it is indeed rare. At $45 a pop I guess I should have said something...but I'm really not that ballsy a kind of guy.

Well, I for one am never going to accept at well done steak if I'd ordered it as medium rare. Especially not a 47.00 steak!
