1st stay on site, which hotel?

We're looking to go to Disney on our 'family moon' with a 1 & 4 yr old. I know Disney will be busy for Xmas, looking to go 7th dec for 21nights so we can be very relaxed & leave park in the afternoon if very crowded & kids are tired.

With a wedding to pay for we were looking at all stars or art of animation?

Opinions on both would be appreciated

I am biased on the All Stars and we love ASMu. The Broadway section is our favorite section to stay in and we stayed there December of last year. We have visited AoA and we like it okay, but it just does not have the theming we really enjoy. We also did not like the offerings at the food court. But, AoA has suites as well as standard rooms.

Crowds will be hit and miss for the time you are there. They will increase steadily as you get closer to Christmas. Your week days will be fairly uncrowded at first.

21 nights???? If so, wow.

Never stayed at AoA but have stayed at All Star Movies. Never thought I would like it, but loved the bigger than life features right outside the rooms. This year we stayed at Pop and it was great, big food court, gift area, nice rooms. In October we are staying at All Star Sports. Check on the renovations at the other All Star.

You can't go wrong though.

Can I just say I'm so jealous that you're staying for 21 nights!

For that long of stay I'd do a suite in AoA or one of the All Stars. I don't think I could share a room with my kids for almost a month.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

I would do half of that offsite in a two bedroom villa. Bonnet creek maybe ?

Then do 10 days on site at a moderate or deluxe.

If I were staying 21 days I would need my space. I couldn't be in a regular room that long and I couldn't afford a 2 bedroom villa onsite for 3 weeks.

That would be the only way we could do it.

I have stayed at all of the value resorts and I would have to say AoA is my favorite.. If it was my decision I would get a family suite (if possible) at AoA.. I know for us after a week in a regular room with 4 people it gets pretty cramped after all the things you start collecting throughout the days..

Thanks for the replys. The price from the UK for 14 or 21 nights really is quite small. We're thinking of doing a week offsite now. Playing with lots of ideas! So hard to choose
