Hoop Dee Doo & Kids

I am thinking of trying Hoop Dee Doo on our trip in Dec but am concerned about the menu. While it sounds delish to me, my 4 yr old is your typical "boring kid eater". I have found some old threads that mentioned alternate options for kids. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? If so, is advanced notice required? Also, is it common? I don't want to cause too much fuss. Thanks!

We have seen them bring other food to kids at other tables. Advance notice is required. Do it when you make the reservations. We all love this show - especially our kids.

We were there in June. It was our 4th time with kids. Always just asked for Mac and cheese to the waiter when we sat down and it came out with the meal.

That's go to know! We are going for the first time in November, my 6 yr old would eat the chicken but she would definitely prefer mac and cheese.

Yes my 9 yr old likes the ribs and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is a huge hit. This time she had a little salad and corn bread. Next time we may not need the Mac and cheese.

They don't need any advance notice. They share a kitchen with the trails end buffet so they usually have nuggets, pizza, plain pasta, type stuff easily available if you just ask your server politely. My niece and nephew are picky eaters and they happily ate some of the fried chicken pulled off the bone which isn't a food they normally eat. There is a lot of distraction and its somewhat dark so when they were handed a plate with the chunks of chicken, corn, and mashed potatoes they just ate without commenting.

My son will eat what's on the menu and WAS eating what's on the menu until our server brought out mac and cheese "just in case". We didn't ask for it nor need it , but it was nice of her.

Yes they have several options. Just ask your server when they take your drink order. No need or way to request ahead of time. Special diets( allergies or medical ) should be noted on the ADR. Kids choices nope
