Candlelight - How dark is it?

I think it would be a better show if it was in the dark with the different coloured lights from what I have seen on You Tube. It will be our first time seeing it.

We were thinking of the 6:45 show on Dec 22 or 24.

Is it dark at that time of year? Or should we go for the later show?

Sunset in Orlando that time of year is around 5:30 pm. Astronomical Twilight, the latter of the 3 twilights, is 6:58 pm. It will be plenty dark.

We've been to the 6:45 pm show and will be there on Christmas Eve, it's plenty dark.

Going to the later show makes it difficult to find a good viewing spot for Illuminations, esp. on the 24th. By the time it gets out and you get out of the crowd (if you're not one of the first ones out you have to wait for the performers to exit), it's almost time for Illuminations to start. This includes the dinner package viewing area.
