Is there a booze-free version of this drink available at Kona? And can you get it at breakfast?

The Lapu Lapu is good, but the Backscratcher has my heart - Tambu is my happy place!

I agree. We must of had the same bartender because it was gross and the wfie and I both love fruity cocktails. My wife ordered it one evening during dinner and after one sip she took my diet drink and made me drink it. It was like I was drinking straight 151. I ended up just drinking water.

You can get it after 11am and you can get any juice in a pineapple. It's $5.00 extra if I remember right

I also found the Lapu Lapu to be too strong. I had to wait until the ice melted to water it down. Loved the presentation though.

I don't know about Disney, but I would never order a non-alcohol version of a drink in a pineapple. Many places re-use the pineapples, and there is no way of cleaning them.

The Lapu Lapu is definitely my must have drink at any of the resorts. Overall it is a toss up between that and the Grand Marnier Grey Goose Orange Slush at EPCOT for my favorite drink. I don't remember what it is called but the newer 'blue' drink with the passion fruit foam on top is making its way up there! My trip a year ago I only saw it at the Boardwalk but the last trip I found it at most of the deluxe resort pool bars.

Mine seemed really strong, last May. I kept drinking it, thinking it would be fine since I was having that huge Ohana dinner too. I was pretty tipsy after dinner, and regretted the drink. But maybe I'm a lightweight….Tasted great though!

Mine wasn't strong. It was good but it didn't leave me buzzed or anything... The margarita I had at the pool bar on the other hand...

Anyone know if they honor 1/2 strength (is that a thing?) requests at 'Ohana when ordering cocktails?
My sister and I both ordered one on a recent trip and after tasting it, ruled it too strong for us. We asked our server if he could bring us some extra fruit juice to mix in and make it more palatable. He had no problem doing this for us, and did not charge us for the juice. This was at 'Ohana.

I love the lapu lapu and it's the perfect mix of alcohol for me ... But I like dirty martinis when we go to Las Vegas so anything sweet is like dessert treat and in a pineapple it's a real sweet dessert drink treat : )

here's a tip! ask for an ice tea spoon with your Lapu Lapu! After you drink all the liquid out of the pineapple, use the spoon to spoon out the fruit! so yummy!!
