Disappointed in the recent changes to many Signature restaurants!

A few weeks ago, I thoroughly researched most of the Signature restaurant menus in hopes of making a decision. Le Cellier used to be our favorite, but with the loss of the mushroom filet, we were looking elsewhere. We decided on the Yachtsman as one of our favorites. I went online today and looked at the menus again and lots have changed. For example - 2 weeks ago, the Yachtsman featured a 28 oz. porterhouse steak for $65. Now, it lists a 32 oz porterhouse for $110! The price went up $45 for 4 more ounces of steak! I am completely rethinkng eating at a signature now! It just seems the value has significantly decreased.

The new menu lists the porterhouse as 'for two'.... So it's not like one dinner is $110.....

Allears still has the 28oz Porterhouse on the menu. I don't see anything on the menu for $110. Unless they haven't updated their menus yet but they are pretty good with keeping up with changes. The Le Cellier change was just stupid.. but Disney is known for taking away items that the guests love.

If you pull the menu on Disney's website, they've got the changes on that menu. We've already decided we're skipping this one......

Restaurant changes aren't always "Disney's" fault. In the restaurant industry it is important to always be changing. There is a big possibility the executive chef at La Cellier left and a new one was hired. At that point a new menu could have gone into effect. Yes they choose to keep some things but change others like the steak.

With Yatchsman we went two weekends ago. They do all their butchering and aging of meat in house so it is a possibility the butchers came to the executive chef and said hey the 32 oz cut is going to be much better and two people can share it.

1) Wait until you see the $75/adult dinner pice for CRT in January-2015.
2) Mediocre food, but with characters.
3) And, DDP pricing will reflect new increases.

But, how can they justify that much a price increase when they are doing away with the picture package?

They don't have to justify it. They just have to see if the market will bear it!

By that I meant Disney restaurants not just "Disney" themselves. It happens all the time at many of the restaurants with popular items. I think it has to do more with money.

Because they are still turning away people who want to eat there, even with the high prices now...

Wow, these prices! It makes me feel happier about having a car when we go. The central Florida area is blessed with good restaurants with way more reasonable prices.

Didn't know about that one! My sister and her daughters are planning on dining at CRT and I know she appreciated the picture package.

will the pictures from the character meals be included in the MEMORY MAKER package? maybe they want everyone to buy the package... I just did but will be there for most of 18 days by myself... so i planned on using a lot of the photo pass photographers... and it was only $149 when i got it...so i hope to have more than 150 pix.... = $1 a pix.. i heard the ride photos can be put on the disc to...need to double check it though.... any feedback appreciated
