More than two wave phones per room?

Does Disney allow more than two wave phones per room if you request an extra? We are a family a 4 with a 13 year old and I want my son to be able to have a wave phone with him so he can have some freedom but that would mean that my husband and I wouldn't be able to communicate if we split up. Our first Disney cruise we had two separate staterooms so we actually had a wave phone for all of us but this time we got a better price by all staying together

You can get more wave phones at guest services, there is a cost, I don't know how much.

I think it was $3.5 for each wave phone but if it's lost $250 cost

As previous posters said, you can get extra wave phones at Guest Services. If you for sure want one, make that your first stop before you go to lunch. There is a limited number of extra phones. We waited until after lunch to check about a phone and got the last one! We were so lucky. Unfortunately, the family behind us also wanted a phone and didn't get one.

Is Guest Services the only way to get an extra phone? If I call DCL in advance and reserve an extra can we just have it waiting for us in the room?

You can try. I think the extra phone is $5 per day. However, getting one from Guest Services is pretty easy to do.

Another option if you are not able to get one is to use the house phones. Around the stairwells/elevators there is usually a house phone. I used that if I needed to find my DH since our 13 year old had the other phone. Works just like the phone in your stateroom.

Basically a private cell phone service, usable only onboard the ships and at Castaway Cay. You have 2 wave phones in your room. You can get additional phones (as long as they are available) for a fee at Guest Services.

Thanks to OP for this thread! We have DD15 & DS12 cruising this Oct. I,too, was wondering about the availability of a 3rd wave phone for our family. I also like the idea of using the house phones.

You can't reserve them, they don't have enough for everyone to have an extra phone so it's first come, first served.
