As we drove by a few minutes ago, I could see a little into one of the rooms and it looked like possible new furniture but it was hard to tell. They have the majority of the curtains completely drawn on the rooms. I am not giving up yet on trying to get more info during our last two days.
Thanks for your updates and snooping Lisa! I'm hoping to get some pictures from you for the 1st page.

It would give me a chance to get 26 of my reqired 32 CEU's. I told my husband about it jokingly and he said," why not go". It is only 1hour and 15 minutes from Disney. the more I thought about the idea the more excited I got! I even told my sister in law about it and she said she would go with and we could make it an all girls trip. She said she could hang out at the pool while I was at the confrence. Now I am really really thinking about it. Free dining would not be offered during those dates. Do you know of any other discounts that may come out for those dates?
You can check here for historical discounts going back 3 years.

You can call housekeeping and also leave the Do Not Disturb sign on your door.

May I ask how you know you'll be in Martinique already? Room assignments are made just a few days before check in. If you booked Preferred you could be in Martinique or TNorth. If you booked Standard or Water View you could be anywhere.

Two weeks flew by! Still hoping to get a sneak peek but it looks like it ain't going to happen with all the extra security they have stationed around the building

They will toss them out so you could save them the trouble if you want.

Do you typically leave an envelope for each day you are there? If so, how much do you typically leave (if you don't mind me asking) and is this a general practice? Do most people tip?

I'm glad you asked this in this thread as it can be a very hot topic on whether or not to tip housekeeping. In fact most threads get closed by the Moderators after the 2nd page because it gets too heated. It is a personal choice. We leave $5 a day for the 3 of us. We leave an envelope every day because you most likely won't have the same housekeeper for your entire stay. From reading the boards, the people that do tip tend to leave $1-$2 per person per day.

Thanks Dansdad! I get it's a personal choice- to each their own!! I think everyone on this thread is awesome enough to not blow this out of proportion. I just like to get an idea of what other people do and then decide from there.

I try to leave ~$5/day anywhere I stay but if I don't have the right bills or something it's no big deal. At the very least I try to keep the room neat (trash thrown away, personal things put away, no messes etc) and make their job a bit easier.

It seems that when people talk about the buses in the threads, that the first stop is always Jamaica. Is this true? If it's easiest for the bus drivers to get in and out of because of the front gate, I can see them doing that??

We are starting to plan a May 2015 trip. THANKS!

We were in Aruba 52 last October and didn't really have a single bus issue to worry about. In the morning if the bus stops were packed, it seemed there were always more than 1 bus going to the same park. Coming home, many times we hopped off at an earlier stop and went to OPR for a cocktail or two.

I do confess, since we were there with no set plans, on more than one occasion we made our 'which park are we going to' decision by which bus pulled up. That was easy as we were just two adults, we didn't have any ADR due to F&W, and we have both been there many times.

We usually try to do the same - $5 dollars a day. Sometimes, it may be only $3 or $4 if we don't have a $5 bill and only 3 or 4 singles. But we usually try to leave home with lots of small bills ($1s, $5s, & $10s) specifically for all tipping purposes (ME driver, bell services, housekeeping, restaurants, etc.).
