Have they already changed the 'new' Castaway Club bags

Saw a pic on Twitter which was retweeted by DCLBlog which looked to be a different bag than the one with the grommets that kept breaking. The picture wasn't complete, but it looked like a one-shouldered backpack. It had the matching message board and Navilighter. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks for any info.

The bag that was given away last month was not a back pack, but the grommet one. I used mine on the 7 night cruise & have used it numerous times since, with no problems or breaking. I did hear that they were reinforced after the original ones kept breaking. So these should be the updates ones.

I see on ebay where the gray ones [silver CC status] are being offered to the tune of $35.00.

Our cruise on May 11th (Dream) was still the tote with the rope handles.

Not sure if this will work, but I found the post, and this is one of the posts with the pictures, here

If it works.

The teensy bit you can see in it looks like a monobag we got from RCCL back in 2003. The zipper broke almost immediately. Hope Disney did it better, but I'm not holding my breath!

Nice bag. It looks like something the guys would carry. Although it doesn't look as roomy as the tote bag.

Agreed. Much prefer the tote bag! At least that has room for a whole family's stuff on an excursion. That bag wouldn't hold all we need.

Yes, that is the post to which I am referring. I can't believe we haven't seen anything about it on the DIS yet..... SilverFox will know.

The follow up to the post also says that not all Gold members are getting the game tin - can anyone confirm? I think it looks great and would love to have it.

I believe the new bag is just for the Alaska sailings on the Wonder. At least the person who posted it is currently on the Alaska cruise.

I like the backpack better, but hope to get the game tin that looks neat. We are platinum and sailing in sept.

Saw the same tote but different picture somewhere a couple days ago and they were also on an Alaskan cruise. It makes more sense to have a backpack style bag in Alaska then a more beachy tote bag, hoping this is the reason for the difference. I want the tote when we go in Oct. lol

OK, now I'm really interested to see what is being used for the Alaska cruises. I was just on the Wonder and received the tote bag with game tin and magnet. I gave the game tin to my friend traveling with me (first time cruiser) thinking that I would be getting another one on our upcoming Alaska cruise anyway. So I hope they are still giving out the game tin, even if the bag is different.

I hope we get a different bag in Alaska bc the beach tote won't be as user friendly.
