Ohana dinning reservations at 9.30 worth it??

Hi so I've been trying to book ohana for ages now and the earliest time I can get is 9.30 so my question is, it says they close at 10 so does this mean we would have half an hour to finish up our whole dinner?? I reserved it anyway but has anyone ever been to ohanas at dinner for this time and if you have what was your experience?? Negative or positive. I don't mind having dinner this late but I am a slow eater and also I feel they may slip their standards as its only natural when all you want to do is get home.

Your standards and length of eating time should be the same, but how could you eat that heavy a meal that late at night! We couldn't, but if you can, go for it!

We've had reservations as late as 9:45, and have always had excellent service and food. Never had a problem. We did notice that the place cleared out pretty quickly after 10:15 or so, but we didn't feel rushed out. It just got quieter
The only issued we've had is parking.. The last time we were there, we parked at the TTC and spent the day at MK. By the time we were done with dinner, the monorail was closed. The girl in the lobby told us that the TTC was just a short walk - just follow the monorail beam. That probably would have worked if there weren't construction walls everywhere blocking the path, no signage, and we were not familiar at all with the Poly. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant trek back to the car.

It depends on what your other plans are for the day.

We do 'Ohana after we're done at MK, we've always done our 'Ohana night on a night when MK closes early, once during wishes but mostly after and it's always worked out great for us.

If it's a 9pm MK close a 9:30 reservation might be perfect, just don't schedule anything early the next morning.

I would definitely try to go earlier. We went around 9:40 before and although I didn't feel rushed part of what you are paying for is the experience like the singing and games if you have children and that all ends at 10 pm so it did get really quiet.

You could go ahead and book it. That is what I did. I checked 3-4 times a day and finally got a 6:55 on the day I wanted, it was about 40 days out. But I am seeing new availability on hard to get locations pop up almost every day.
If you are going with FREE dining, it may be a little harder, but many people will still cancel at that 45 day mark. We booked a couple of years ago during FREE DINING just in case we could get away, but had to cancel due to our other obligations.

Good Luck

Let me preface my response by first saying that we have eaten at 'Ohana many times. It remains one of our favorite places to dine at WDW. The only times we have had negative experiences here is when we did end of the evening ADR's. Both times the food was overcooked, the restaurant was dirty (from all the families who had dined here earlier), and the service poor yet hurried). Add to this that while our ADRs were for 9:30, we did not get seated either time until well after 10:00. All of the other times we've visited 'Ohana (including last night), everything has been wonderful. I would keep checking for cancellations. We got our ADR for last night just a few days ago. (Note: I'm not saying it would be impossible to get into 'Ohana as a walk-up, but I've never noticed anyone being successful at this.)

Has anyone ever had an 8pm reservation?

If so, how behind were they? Thanks in advance.

We like eating late at Ohana, because it tends to clear out and calm down, and depending upon the timing with MK closing, we get to see Wishes while eating!

We have had reservations around 8 and they're usually running kinda late by then. We've waited a half hour or so.

We've been there that late and everything was fresh and delicious. We didn't feel rushed at all.

If it's between Ohana at 930 or no 'Ohana at all, I'd take 'Ohana at 930 every time. Soooooo good!
