Does any one have experience with the beer mug? It says you get 22 oz for the price of a 16 oz. My question is what it the price difference to determine if it's worth it?

If i remember correctly from my last cruise you couldn't buy a 22oz so the only way to get that much was with the mug

Concerning the beer mug, if you drink 2 or more beers a day it is worth it. If you only drink 1 a day or occasionally don't bother with it. It is a cool souvenir though. Like the mugs in the resorts, it is supposed to be used only during your current cruise. However, i have read were people take it back on every cruise to reuse.

I was told by several crew members that it is encouraged to be brought back and used again... I could be wrong though, anyone with a more recent experience please feel free to comment, and i do not see it as the same as the resort mugs because with the beer mug you are paying for the beverage regardless if you have the mug or not...

CNN Travel posted a piece a while back stating and giving examples of how DCL's drink prices are cheaper than other lines. That's fine, the cruise costs more. I think it all needs to be put into perspective. If you're concerned about pricing, then bring a bit on board with you and make a couple of trips back to your room. That's what we do.

Take home the token, and bring that back on next cruise. Easier than packing a glass mug on two trips...just saying..

For those who are new, you can turn in your mug for a token on the ship, so you don't have to lug it with you, then when you want a beer, you hand in your token, and they give you a beer in a clean mug!! What a great system for sure.

In general, drinks are standard restaurant/bar prices, not WDW resort prices.

Like the specialty drinks without alcohol at the very bottom of the menu board. It looks like it might be $3.50 for a specialty drink without alcohol? It looks like there's a charge for Coca Cola Products as well? Guessing that's the same "rule" as onboard, if you order soda from the bar, there's a charge, but not if you order from Cookies?

Best deal if you like to have a drink or two a day is to buy the "special" sailing away glass/drink. Bring that glass back every time you go to the bar and you can get a drink that is 2 or 3oz more for the same price, including the drink of the day.
