NEW Thread!!!!! I have a question...... If I have a few nights booked at an SPG discount rate (I have the cc) and I want to add a couple more nights, will they link that res,so we don't have to switch rooms? right now I am planning a split stay, but I'm getting too old for all that running around so I may try to add a couple of days at a posted rate...

They can link the reservation on the same itinerary, book the same room type and add a request to stay in the same room. It's pretty seamless. They don't want to make you change rooms either. It costs more in laundry and cleaning.

If you call SPG, they should be able to add a couple nights to your existing reservation without affecting your discount/promo. I can't guarantee this, but I've been able to do that in the past at other SPG properties.

I once had two separate reservations, one on points and one cash, back to back. I didn't have enough points for the entire stay, so I did two different reservations. I then called to get them linked, and the phone agent told me I could have just created one reservation with some of the nights on awards and some with cash.

Yes, they can. One time we booked 2 nights on points and 4 nights cash. As we accumulated more points, we switched the reservations. Eventually, we had all our nights on points. So, if you gather some more points between now and your trip, you can actually switch those over.

Does anyone know what type of coffee makers are at the S&D rooms? Are they the pod, Kcup or regular drip style? Do they give you coffee and tea bags and if so does anyone know what brand?

Thanks for your help!

They use Starbucks products; the coffee maker uses pods.

You're welcome. Here's a photo of the coffee/tea setup in the room:

And you can ask for as many pods (they are larger than store bought pods, but still single serve) as you want. Regular, decaf, tea.

I read a lot about people using online check in. Is that available to Swan and Dolphin guests now that we are linked into MDE?

Curious about this as well. The Swan is the 2nd part of our stay and it would be nice to check in while at the park and know when our room is ready for our break.

I am doubtful this will occur. The only "connection" between MDE and the S&D is a nightly download of reservation info that allows them to link your reservation in MDE...
