WWYD: Resort hop for final day, or not?

Hey all!

My wife and I will be visiting the World Sept. 10 through Sept. 19, and will be staying in an AKL villa. We booked these dates before we saw the Food and Wine Festival will begin on Sept. 19.

We want to stay one more day (check out Sept. 20) in order to experience F&W. Here are our options:

- Book another night in the AKL villa for $161
- Or, book a night in a standard All-Star Movies room for $133
Difference: $28

Pros of staying at AKL:
- Don't have to resort hop
- It's a nicer resort

Pros of hopping to ASM:
- Hopping really doesn't take much effort
- We get to experience a resort we've never been to
- This:

WWYD? (And thanks for your responses!)

I'd add the extra night in the villa without hesitation.

Add an extra night in the villa save the hassle of moving hotel and as you are staying at a better resort.

No question - I would add another night at AKL - We stayed at ASMovies when our kids are little. It's fun. But no way would I go through the hassle (no matter how small) of switching resorts on my last day to squeeze into one of those rooms after the space of a villa. ASMovies is a cute resort, but nothing I would give up a night at AKL for.

I love 'resort hopping' but I wouldn't bother for one night. Stay the extra night at the villa.

Woody will still be there for another visit later on.

I agree, I would stay the extra night at the villa. For $28.00 I would stay put.

Another vote for staying put. Resort hopping can be fun, especially to experience a resort for the first time, but it wouldn't be worth it for one night.

Hop?

If I were to hop, it would be over to an Epcot Resort for the easy access of the 'backdoor' into EPCOT. Plus I would make the move mid-stay, not just for one night.

Word. Consensus says to stay at AKL, so that's what we're doing. Thanks, all!

I agree with this, but I'd think it would be tough to get an Epcot area resort during F&W at this point. Especially a villa.

I would definitely stay put at AKL. If you don't have a car, IMO, value bus service can be sub-par and jam packed so I wouldn't want the hassle for the one day.

I'd definitely add the extra each night. We stayed at PC in October, and learned that the All Star resorts share busses, which makes it very very difficult to get to and from parks.
AKL is such a gorgeous resort! Hope you guys have a great time!
