Well, I moved 3 beads this morning, so maybe I can do this despite my exercise restrictions! I am actually up about a half a pound from saturday morning, but I felt bad for myself and went a little naughty for two days. But I still managed to stay "in control" somehow. In fact I brought up a lindt (100g- 650 calories) rabbit to my office yesterday to eat in one sitting , but after about a 3rd of him, I wrapped him up and put him in my desk drawer without even a tiny mental struggle. Now thats progress!

Since I weigh in every day, I know exactly where I was on the 1st and then this morning. I am down 8.8 lbs for the month. I wanted 10lbs, but I came close. I have a little less then 3 weeks till family bonding (Easter) and 3 weeks after that we are headed to the Caribbean. So I am going to put a hard challenge on myself. I want 15 more lbs gone by May 11 (cruise day). I am asking a lot of myself and it may not be attainable, but I'm gonna go for it.

I have an email appointment with my specialist this weekend, I hope he either puts me on thyroid meds or tells me what to do to reverse this. sigh
Sorry you're having a rough time. Journaling really helps me so that's good for you to start again. Even if I'm busy and dont have time for details I at least write down the item to remind myself on all the "just one bite's" I had! Take it 1 day at a time.

I'm juicing again this week

And they also recommended giving up all caffeine...

Off to make my lunch juice!.....................P
I never felt like they would judge me. They're all nice and say hi but they are just very established in their friendships. I'm not part of their church and my son is not in the sports teams they are all in. I made the mistake of sitting in the middle of the long table of about 16. SO there was 1 conversation going on on one side of me and another conversation on the other so I was kind of on the 'outside' of both convo's! Oh well it went well!

Glad you're liking the juice. I gave up caffeine and I don;t miss it at all! I drink diet CF Coke zero - I know why bother!! But it's my sweet treat. I have no more than 2 a day and drink water the rest. I sleep much better so a feel more rested. Keep weaning down!

Congrats on stuffing that rabbit back in his hole where he belongs!! NOthing wrong w a treat just try and portion it out. Dont knaw on the whole rabbit - break off a piece and put the rest away!

---------------------

I'm really enjoying the bike since I'm still in my boot. Now my other leg hurts but I'm pretty sure it's from awkward usage on the stairs since I can't use my other ankle.

It's been super busy week and eating out the last 4 nights but I tried to make some better choices. I totally caved at the mexican restaurant and ordered the crab enchiladas like so many others were ordering. I had planned to get just the skewers. Then I look down the table when the food came and another girl had ordered them and saying "i'm trying to stick w my diet!" Grrr I was mad at myself. BUT I didnt drink alcohol, didnt eat the rice and only 3 bites of the beans. I ate about 4 chips and just broke off tiny pieces. Sooo it could have been much worse!

HAd a tiny little loss today so down 7.3 for the month! I'll take it. 10 more weeks til vacay!

Good luck everyone.

HUGE accomplishment! That bunny would have called my name!!

Great job with the weight loss for March! You are right, another 15 by early May is a challenge.... but you have absolutely NOTHING to lose by not trying, right!!??

I gave up caffeine for over 10 years.... starting with when I was deciding to get pregnant with my first. I only picked up the "habit" again a few years ago and I don't really feel like I "need" the caffeine.... it is more the habit of having a hot drink first thing in the morning and I actually like the taste of coffee .... so I just need to convince DH that we can have decaf every morning instead!

I'm really enjoying the bike since I'm still in my boot. Now my other leg hurts but I'm pretty sure it's from awkward usage on the stairs since I can't use my other ankle.

That can also be a source of back and hip pain (walking out of alignment while recovering from an injury), so take care of yourself!!

Sounds like you made some okay choices, so forgive yourself for the frustration and move on! Woo hoo on the 7.3 down for March!

And another "LOSER" for March! It seems like overall it was an okay month for many of you!!

************************

Morning all and HAPPY April!! I'm just checking in here one last time before I move on to the April thread.... assuming that there is one started. I didn't notice when I was clicking around.

Anyhow, I despise April Fool's day, so I am just hoping to move along without any big surprises! Although it seems like Mother Nature decided to STOP fooling us into thinking it was still winter and is finally giving us a day that looks and feels something like SPRING!!

Today is Tuesday again, which means I have my WW meeting tonight, so I'll be spending some preparing for that, as usual. And I may even get outside for exercise today!

Off to look for the April thread!.............P

I don't seen an April thread started yet. I will PM our coach with a reminder! I know sometimes the first day of a new month sneaks up on me!

We can continue to chat here for now!!..............P

ETA: It looks like our intended leader for April hasn't been a part of our challenges since early February. I did send a PM, but I am presuming she has decided to step away from the challenges. I will start a thread for April if we don't have one by later today!

Spring has sprung!!

Good morning, everyone! Happy April! I've got the windows open and boy is it grand! Sorry for the absence - it was QUITE a long weekend, but I'll get to that.

bigsis1970, Sending good vibes your way during this trying time with your Gram.

Pamela, congrats on your daughter's interview and fingers crossed that Also, I can't believe you are juicing again! You are so strong!

Flossbolna, hope the chicken skin cream is working for you! It is definitely working on my arms, and this week I hope to start using it on my legs. I'm trying to find a body wash that might have the same stuff in it so that I can put it on in the shower and be done with it!

Amanda, your wedding photos look absolutely wonderful! Not only do you look stunning, but more importantly, you look SO happy! Congrats!!!

Raenstoirm, congrats on moving those beads!!! What a cool way to track progress!

I, for one, am very happy to start April. I'm four weeks away from finishing Power90, and good riddance! While it definitely kickstarted my weight loss, I am ready for a new exercise routine! I bought P90x3 today, which is like p90x, but only 30 minutes long. The routines change week to week and that makes me SO excited! I plan on doing the "Lean" routine once, and if I like it when I'm done, I'll go back and do the "Classic" routine to build a little more muscle.

Unfortunately, I need a Pull-up bar, which I'm not super excited about haha

Especially with the impending move to Boston, I need a routine that I can stick to and can get done early with no excuses!

This weekend was tough - my friend is in a bad place right now, and it was devastating to see that there was little I could do to help her. Of course, that meant my eating was horrible, as I couldn't just say - its great that you want to sit here and eat burritos and chinese food and candy, but I'm gonna go out and pick up a salad. She needed all the comfort she could get, so I felt I needed to be there for her in that way, too. But, yesterday, I was back on plan, and could physically feel a difference in my body - especially in my stomach, oh man! It is always amazing to me when I go back to my old habits - how it never feels good afterwards. My body just simply rejects it and I feel AWFUL. So, thank you, body, for helping me make good decisions!

As far as hosting goes, I'm scheduled for May, so if you need me to step in for April, I'd be happy to! Then if our upcoming host comes back, she can continue the month or swap with me for May. Just let me know whatever I can do to help.

This week I'm working from home - my parent's home, since most of the office is away, it becomes a bit of a staycation for me, too! I started off simple last night with the cooking, and just made some whole wheat pasta with a heart healthy sauce. Tonight my friend is coming over for a WW friendly meal, so I'm cooking a skinny chicken cordon bleu! Fingers crossed I don't burn the house down!

Happy April to all and I hope you are all having the nice weather we are!!

Sorry everyone for leaving my coaching spot the last few days of March!!!

I am in a funky mood at the moment as all movement on the scale is in the wrong direction. And that with me being really good about tracking everything, staying in my weekly points and exercising. I can see changes on my body from the workouts - but I can't believe that I have built up 2 pounds of muscle in the last two weeks - or even more in case I have lost fat. It's just soooo frustrating. However, the only thing I know that I can do to get the scale moving is keep doing what I do right now. Everything else is truly not going to make it any better. I keep hoping for my body to adjust and then start burning away those fat deposits...

Pam, that would be great if you can start the new thread!!

It really isn't so bad (the juicing)..... as long as I don't let myself get too hungry. And I KNOW that my body is healing and getting stronger with all of the great nutrients I'm pouring into it, so it isn't soo hard if I think about it that way. I'm trying for a 3 day juice fast this time.

Sometimes we just need to sacrifice ourselves and our needs for a friend. Sounds like you did that, but glad you are back on plan!

I'll start the April thread if I don't see one by about 1pm here. I'll go ahead and take over for April if need be and we'll keep you in for May if that is okay with your schedule, but thanks for being flexible!

Good luck with the cooking. Just don't get distracted and burn stuff like I do and you will be great! Share the recipe if you like it!

Sorry you've been in a funk. I can TOTALLY relate! Since the Christmas holiday I had been steadily gaining just a bit at a time, nearly every week. And I didn't feel like I was doing anything different than I have been for years, so it was SUPER aggravating, frustrating and ALARMING!! Recommitting to a much healthier life with the weight loss chart and the juicing seems to have helped. And now on to an April full of possibilities!!

******************

Okay friends.... I'm here and I'll give it another hour before I put up an official April challenge thread. Gotta give our missing friend a few hours any how! My guess is, that since she hasn't participated actively for over a month, that she just totally forgot that she volunteered for April. But I did send her a PM, so we'll give her a bit of time. But I want the April thread posted before I head to WW tonight.

Off to ready for lunch and my meeting tonight!..........P
