I did not get to go. On Friday, our 9:50 a.m. flight was cancelled due to strong storms. We went standby for the next flights leaving (11:15). That flight kept getting delayed and getting delayed. As time ticked on, we came to accept that we would likely not get to see Hedwig and started to plan to just see the next day's shows. Then at about 7:30 p.m. (after being in the airport 12 hours), our flight was completely cancelled. I called Delta to try to reschedule for the morning. They told me there was nothing available. The soonest they could get us there was Sunday morning (we were flying home Sunday evening!). I checked other airlines, and there was just nothing. La Guardia and JFK were just about completely shut down most of Friday, and when they weren't they were catching up on flights from airports that were not Pittsburgh. :/ I am a bit bitter about it.

Edited to add: Thanks for asking! It was a big bummer, but we still found ways to have fun, and we had a great dinner before heading home from Pittsburgh.

Wow, that is just weird! I guess it all worked out the way it needed to be. Glad you got to eat some good food.

I fly all the time, and I've never had anything like it happen. If we had thrown in the towel earlier and just booked for Saturday morning, we might have made it, but by the time I called others had beat me to it. The guy at the Marriott where we were staying said it looked like "End of Days" outside--but he might have been saying that to make me feel better.

Hi All!

I haven't checked in for a few days, but I just read through the last few pages tonight - - - lots going on amongst our crew!

digimom - I was concerned to read about the need for your biopsy but very relieved to hear the results were benign. You've had a tough road lately, huh? I hope things are turning around.

DisMom1981 - Sorry to hear about the Lyme's diagnosis. Hopefully the antibiotics are kicking in and you're feeling better.

Ran/walked 2 miles this am and feeling determined to get back where I was. My feet, however, are KILLING me! Is this bc I haven't worked out, the Lyme's, or a need for new sneakers (mine are only about a year old)?

Digimom- I have scale phobia bc I've pretty much stayed the same for 2 months......been working out but eating why I want. Ugh.

Even though your sneakers are only a year old if you've been using them for all your exercising they are probably ready to be replaced. Can't remember what I've read about sneaker mileage and when you are suppose to replace them. My husband gets a new pair every 6 months or so.

Glad you're feeling better. You may be able to just switch out the inserts. Our sports store has different types of inserts. When I was running I got a pair for my new shoes and switched them right away. They were better than the ones that the shoes came with. Another issue may be that the muscles and tendons may have stiffened up. If that's the case getting into your routine should help. The only other reason I can think of is maybe your nerves are sensitive due to lymes or any medicine you're on. If it continues you might wanna ask your doctor about it. Good luck!
