Question Help me choose a room! Please :)

So we've decided our next adventure will be on the Fantasy. We want an extended balcony room and this is what is left... which would you choose? I have no idea if/why any are better than the others... maybe they aren't at all. Help please?

Have you checked the stateroom reviews? http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomlist.cfm
Also, check deck plans to make sure they aren't above/below loud areas like clubs. http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Main/index.php

We were assigned 5162 when we booked a VGT on the Dream in Feb 2012. We loved the extended verandah and the aft location. It was great being close to the aft stairs/elevators and we took the stairs almost exclusively. If we were to book a category 4E, we would choose one of the aft rooms on the starboard side. You get the better view of CC from that side and there is less foot traffic on that side because the hall does not go all the way forward. Also, you may be able to see the fireworks from your balcony --- assuming there isn't a letter in your room asking you not to go out on your balcony during the show. Of the rooms you listed, I'd probably go with 5660.

Now I would think 5660 is levels below the 10662 my family had on The Dream last August and WE LOVED IT wasn't a lot of noise from upper deck at all and that balcony with 4 chairs to the 2 on the side of ship was AWESOME had plenty of cover space when it did rain only downside was seeing land disappear leaving ports. I so go for the AFT room and enjoy.

I would choose one of the forward, starboard side cabins like 5530. We stayed in 5538 and loved it. I'm not fond of the aft rooms because the ship vibrations are really felt back there. I prefer to be forward. Also, I have a teen daughter, so it's a quick trip down one level to the Vibe for her. I also like going straight up the stairs for the gym, spa and adult areas.

This raises a good point. What do you want to be close to/have easy access to? We liked having easy access to Cabanas and the pool deck, and DD was in the Oceaneer Lab. The entrance to the Lab is pretty close to the aft rooms on deck 5. We felt slight vibrations when the ship was docking, but that's it. The 4E rooms are aft, but not all the way aft.

It would be me, my husband and our 3 year old. I've never chosen a room before so I've never had to think about aft vs. forward vs. port vs. starboard. We did the Dream last year and were in room 7520. It was fine... I was just jealous of the extended verandahs below. Reading all of these reviews for the different staterooms only confuse me more! I hear there are lots of vibrations in the aft rooms... but then there are some complaints from some of the more forward rooms as well. I do think I'd like to stay on the starboard side because we were able to see the fireworks last time from the room (little one was sleeping so we weren't able to go up to the party. So IF we are allowed to go out there, I'd like to try.

AHH! Decisions, decisions!

We went with 5526. It is on the end... and technically people in the next room over (07A) will be able to see onto our extended balcony... and we'll be able to see in their room (not that we'll try to look!) BUT I figure that isn't a big deal (for us) since we don't have any privacy from the decks above us anyway. I'm so excited!!

Did you go on your cruise yet? We were just assigned 5526 (VGT) on the Dream in July and are so excited! We would love to hear all about it!
